Eighty percent of residents live in HDB units. Prue Harrison mentions that HDB rules have prohibited cats, and have only allowed very small dogs, although Project ADORE has changed that to a degree. Project ADORE (ADOption and REhoming of dogs) allows some medium-sized dogs (15 kg in weight, 50 cm in height) to be adopted in HDB housing under specific conditions. http://www.spca.org.sg/news_details.asp?id=837 Black dog syndrome - some studies have shown that black dogs get adopted at less frequent rates than other color dogs, and this can also lead to higher euthanasia rates. https://www.petfinder.com/pet-adoption/dog-adoption/black-dog-syndrome/ Thank you Prue Harrison!
