Sarah speaks with Angela Breidenbach, author of the Montana Beginnings series, specifically about the first book in that series, The Debutante Queen. The book takes place in Helena, MT in 1889, shortly after Montana became a state. It combines historical fiction, Christian fiction, and romance to tell the story of Calista Blythe, a young woman who becomes interested and involved in the lives of the many children in Helena who arrived on the orphan trains and are now living on the streets. Through her encounter with one little girl in particluar, Calista goes to great lengths to listen to her conscience and help as many children as she can.
