Clear out the clutter -not just paper. Furniture too! Most people have too much in each room.
Group remaining furniture into conversation groups making a clear traffic path.
Lighting! Have all THREE sources in each room.
Make small repairs.
Paint a neutral color & match drapes for a seamless look.
