Description

Dennis Mattish is a life-long San Jose native who cut his teeth at the San Jose racetracks, spending Friday nights at Alviso Speedway, and Saturday nights at San Jose Speedway. For over 40 years Dennis has followed motorsports around the US and in England, with his camera and pen. He’s been published locally and nationally in numerous publications. Dennis is a consistent recipient of the John Ryan Journalism award, he’s the official World of Outlaw photographer and has served as Vice President of Photography for the Motor Sports Press Association for three years. In 2009 Dennis published his first book, History of San Jose Auto Racing 1903-2007. His second book, History of Watsonville and Salinas Auto Racing– was published in 2012. His third book, History of San Jose Racing Part 2, was published in 2016.
