Like Orwell's protagonist Winston Smith, Benjamen kept a diary for "future citizens" in which he recorded the country's descent into totalitarianism — and his crush on a girl named Theresa. In 2014, he revisited those diaries and produced this sonic catapult to the days of Reagonomics, Thriller, Clara Peller and the birth of Apple.
