Description

Passion. Blood. Sweat. Tears. No, it’s not Andy Tate, but we saw some pride from the Manchester United players in a 3-2 comeback win against Newcastle on Saturday evening. Friday evening saw reports come out that Jose Mourinho was set to be sacked regardless of the result against Newcastle. That hasn’t happened, obviously. But when United went two goals down within the opening 10 minutes, it looked quite possible. It was an abysmal start, but United scored three times in the last 25 minutes through Mata, Martial and Sanchez. If the conceding two goals within the space of three minutes was traditional of this season, the comeback was more traditional of one of Fergie’s United team.We saw quality, determination, pride and effort. That we haven’t seen that all season is obviously a negative, but it’s a life line for Mourinho. So we’re talking that, and as always we have our regular youth and loan round-up as we head into the international break.
