Why I went to a pelvic floor physical therapist and why if you are a woman you should consider seeing one too! I have seen and talked to a lot of women who are experiencing core and pelvic floor dysfunction but they are usually unaware of it. As a society the social norm is to believe that it is normal for women to pee their pants, to not be able to heal their diastasis recti, to have painful intercourse, to have low back or hip pain, etc. All of the fore mentioned symptoms are just that... symptoms…they are warning signs our body is telling us that there is something we need to address.
