Description

Finding Rest, A day off to just Be and not Do? A day off is
a good thing! The Sabbath is one of the oldest institutions in the
world, dating, as the Bible makes clear, from the very earliest appearance of
man upon the earth, when God blessed and hallowed the Sabbath. Later, it was
part of the Law given to Moses and Israel. Many Christians today are troubled --
considerably at times -- by the question: "Should we be observing the Sabbath
yet today?" There are certain Christian groups who feel that this is the case;
in fact they insist that we are not genuine Christians unless we observe the
commandment of God to keep the Sabbath continuously. Then Jesus said to
them, "The Sabbath was made to meet the needs of people, and not people to meet
the requirements of the Sabbath. Mark 2:27 NLTHeaven and Earth were
finished, down to the last detail.  2-4 By the seventh day
      God had finished his work.
   On the seventh day
      he rested from all his work.
   God blessed the seventh day.
      He made it a Holy Day
   Because on that day he rested from his work,
      all the creating God had done. This
