About this ebook

As we journey through life, "How do we build up our faith in Jesus, and what is faith?"

Connie Mundy's new book, A Journey of Faith, will answer these questions and more.

Our faith is a gift from God.  Even if our faith begins small, if we continue to nurture it, it will grow.  Jesus calls us to become faith-builders for the Kingdom of God.  When we share our experiences with others, they will grow in faith.

Along with sharing our faith with others, God also desires us to plant seeds of hope and love.  If we plant seeds of hope and love, God will make them grow.

 When we combine the gifts of faith and hope with the tremendous love God has for us, we will be able to overcome any trial.  Through the Divine Presence of Jesus, we will be made stronger.

    Chapter 1: In His Hands

    The compassion of human beings is for their neighbours, but the compassion of the Lord is for every living thing.

    He rebukes and trains and teaches them,

    and turns them back, as a shepherd his flock. - Sirach 18:13

    In God’s Hands, I place my life. I will trust Him always, for He knows the way in which He desires me to walk.  He will not lead me wrong. Even if I do not know what I am to do in life, I will follow His lead and do whatever it is that He leads me to do.

    Psalm 23 speaks to us about The Divine Shepherd.

    The LORD is my shepherd, I

    shall not want.

    He makes me lie down in

       green pastures;

    he leads me beside still waters;

          he restores my soul.

    He leads me in right paths

       for his name’s sake.

    Even though I walk through

     the darkest valley,

    I fear no evil;

    for you are with me;

    your rod and your staff –

    they comfort me.

    You prepare a table before me

    in the presence of my enemies;

    you anoint my head with oil;

    my cup overflows.

    Surely goodness and mercy

    shall follow me

    all the days of my life,

    and I shall dwell in the house

    of the LORD

    my whole life long.

    (Psalm 23:1-6)

    I am your Good Shepherd. I lead you to where I want you to be. In My Presence you shall be calm.  Even when things are rough around you, you shall not fear for I lead the way. Through My rod and My staff, I will comfort you.

    In the presence of those who hurt you, I will prepare a special place for you. I will pour out abundant blessings over your life. My goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life. At the end of your life on earth, you shall live forever with Me in the Heavenly Realms.

    No matter what we go through in life, we can rest assured that God is always by our side. We never walk alone.

    Just like when Jesus walked along the beach in the famous poem titled, Footprints He also walks with us each day of our life. During our most difficult times in life, even if we may feel as though we are traveling through life alone, Jesus is right there with us. When life becomes too much to bear, Jesus picks us up and carries us through the hard times.

    ‘Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.’

      (Matthew 11:28-30)

    When we come to Jesus with the heavy burdens we carry in life, He will take the burdens we carry and place them upon Himself. He will carry our burdens for us. We will then feel a release from what we are carrying around in our life, and we will be at peace.

    I desire My dear children to come to Me. I am the God of Peace. When you feel weak and weary, I am strong. I will carry you through the most difficult times in life. Allow your heart to become still in My Presence.  Even when you are struggling in life, you will be at peace when you come before Me.

    Just as Jesus was with the disciples during the storm at sea, He is also with us through the storms we face in life.

    Mark 4 vs 35-40 speaks to us about when Jesus Stills A Storm.

    On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, ‘Let us go across to the other side.’  And leaving the crowd behind, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. Other boats were with him. A great gale arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that the boat was already being swamped. But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke him up and said to him, ’Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?’  He woke up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace! Be still!’  Then the wind ceased and there was a dead calm. He said to them, ‘Why are you afraid? Have you still no faith?

         (Mark 4:35-40)

    My disciples experienced great fear when the storm arose at sea. I was asleep on the boat when the storm arose at sea. Out of fear, they woke Me up. I was there for them in the midst of their storm. Not only did I calm the waters of the sea, but I also calmed their fears. Just as I was with My disciples in the midst of their storm, I am also with My dear children today when they go through the storms of life. Blessed are you when you come before Me in faith-believing during your time of need. Allow Me to guide you through the storms of your life. Place your trust in Me.  I will always be here for My dear children.

    Throughout the storms of life, no matter what we may face, God is always with us through it all. I can honestly say that God was with me through my most difficult times. When we feel as though we can no longer handle whatever it may be that we are facing, it is then that Jesus takes over and carries our cross for us.  He will not allow us to fall under the weight of our burdens.  From time to time, we all need God’s help to carry the burdens of life.  We should not be afraid to allow Jesus to help us.  He knows what it is like to need help to carry our crosses.  Jesus bore the heaviest cross of all!  He carried His cross to Calvary where He died upon it to save us from our sins!  Along the way He fell three times because of the weight He had to endure.

    Luke 23 vs 26 tells us about a man named Simon of Cyrene who helped Jesus carry His cross.

    As they lead him away,
