About this ebook

"A timeless journey where faith, family, and memory shine through every season of light."

In every season, light falls gently across the sanctuary — guiding, comforting, and transforming.

Sanctuary of Falling Light: A Journey Thru the Years is a tapestry of faith, family, and memory woven through autumn leaves, winter snow, spring blossoms, and summer warmth. At its heart are a boy with his camera, a girl with her journal, and a mother whose wisdom anchors them both. Together, they walk through chapels, cottages, and gardens, discovering that each season holds a reflection of God's eternal promise.

From the hush of Christmas Mass to the joy of Easter morning, from the quiet dormancy of winter to the renewal of spring, this book invites readers to see the sacred in everyday life. Angels whisper, lanterns glow, and the sanctuary lamp burns steadily — reminding us that even in darkness, light endures.

This is more than a story. It is a devotional journey — a celebration of love, memory, and the divine presence that unites generations.

Step into the sanctuary. Let the falling light guide you home.

There is a light that falls not from the sun, nor from the moon, but from the heart of heaven itself. It touches the leaves in autumn, the snow in winter, the blossoms of spring, and the golden fields of summer. It is the light of sanctuary — quiet, steady, and eternal.

    Prologue

There is a light that falls not from the sun, nor from the moon, but from the heart of heaven itself. It touches the leaves in autumn, the snow in winter, the blossoms of spring, and the golden fields of summer. It is the light of sanctuary — quiet, steady, and eternal.

This story is not only about seasons, but about the soul’s journey through them. It is about a boy who sees the sacred through his lens, a girl who listens for God in her journal, and a mother whose wisdom anchors them both. It is about the angel who watches, the chapel that welcomes, and the cottage that glows with memory.

Each chapter is a window into a moment when heaven leaned close — when the divine whispered through snowfall, lantern light, or the crackle of a fire. These are not just stories. They are heirlooms of faith, passed from one heart to another, stitched together by love and light.

Come walk with us through the years. Let the falling light guide you.

    About The Author

    Chapter 1: Autumn's First Light

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.

    -John 1:5

In the heart of an amber forest, where maple leaves drifted like whispered prayers, a small cabin nestled beside a chapel glowed with quiet warmth. Inside, an angel sat in a plush armchair, wrapped in a woven-starlight shawl, reading a Connie Mundy book by the fireplace. And there was Thistle, the cunning fox, moving gracefully among the trees. With her paws she gathered the fallen leaves, raking them into neat circles as though she understood their sacred order. Each motion was careful, deliberate, and full of quiet devotion.

Eli the stag—a majestic deer with antlers draped in garlands of autumn leaves—stood near the chapel, his gaze steady and wise, watching her with silent strength.

The mother smiled from her cottage porch, whispered:

Lord, bless the hands that tend creation with care.  May every leaf  remind us of  Your love.

Even the smallest creatures know how to care for what God has given.

Later that morning, the boy wandered through the forest with his camera. He paused beneath a golden maple, framing its leaves against the morning sun. Each photo captured the quiet majesty of fall—crimson oaks, rustling birch, and the soft cascade of leaves like heaven’s confetti. He knelt beside a patch of moss where acorns nestled in amber light and whispered,

Even the falling things are beautiful.

Not far from the chapel, the girl
