    Projections - Jemima Opoku Agyei

    Foreword

    1Corinthians 10:5 ~ Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

At times, this scripture has been used in spiritual warfare (not entirely wrong). However, in context, Paul was more concerned about how we must preserve the knowledge of Christ in our lives.

Every day, the world subtly suggests to us certain blocks of information and knowledge through the media, art, and culture that are contrary, inimical, and detrimental to the knowledge of Christ. These are some of the High things that exalt themselves through projections against the knowledge of Christ in our lives.

But Paul initially added in the verse before this, that (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds).

In this book, the author invites us to learn more about these projections, understand their origins and effects, and consider how we can take a stand in this cerebral warfare. One of the major strategies adopted by the devil is to make us double think our salvation, our relationship with Jesus Christ, and fellowship with the Holy Spirit.  He goes about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.  The only ones whom he devours are those who believe in his lies and deception through his projections. Don’t believe in the devil’s lie.

As Christians, we must be watchful and be well prepared to take captive anything that rises against the knowledge of Christ. We must guard, Jealously, the teachings we receive concerning our Messiah; His ways, His words, and His will for our lives.

    - Reverend Isaac Krakue

    Testimonials

Apowerful book. The writings of a mature author. Jemima captures her personal growth journey, and you can tell that God is with this one. Projections expose one of the enemy’s greatest weapons: deception through thoughts. Her take on the topic, backed with scripture referencing and personal experiences, is bound to leave you enlightened and encouraged. The practical prayers in the book are for deliverance. You can tell the heart of this writer; all who read will be delivered. Well, at least I know I have been.

After reading this book, I started seeing more and more attacks from the enemy through projections. I thought it was because of the revelations, I was being attacked. However, the Lord made me understand that the attacks hadn't increased; I was just now conscious of them. This shook me, because I found myself rebuking so many passing thoughts. Then I realized, the enemy is always projecting something, whether it’s lust, anger, envy, and so on. Half of the thoughts of the believer are not his; there are thoughts of God, thoughts of his soul, and thoughts projected by the enemy.

So don't just read and know about the enemy's projections, put into practice what is written. Rebuke the enemy and cast down all thoughts and imaginations that are not subjected to Christ.

As much as he projects, we must rebuke. Keep rebuking and casting. Be careful to arm yourself with the word to overcome him.  The enemy seeks to have us, but we will not allow him. Rebuke him!

    ~ Daniel Tagoe

Projections can be successfully carried out when the enemy infiltrates your mind with lies.

Dear reader, as you flip through or scroll through the pages of this book, know that it is a tool designed to expose the areas of your life that the enemy wants to hijack. Resist those deceptive thoughts and focus on the thoughts that Christ has about you.

Remember, you are made in the image and likeness of God. Believe it! Think it! Speak it! And believe it again! Choose truth over deception.

    ~Phoebe Padinor

    Introduction

This book explores the powerful concept of projection—a psychological and spiritual mechanism by which thoughts, fears, and lies are externally presented as internal realities. Drawing from scripture and practical insights, it reveals how the enemy operates not through force, but through deception, much like the serpent in the Garden of Eden who projected his thoughts into Eve’s mind, causing her to see and desire what God had warned against.

Using vivid illustrations, biblical truths, and psychological clarity, this book helps readers recognize when their thoughts and emotions are under spiritual attack and how to reject these false projections through the Word of God. You'll learn how to take every thought captive, renew your mind, and walk in spiritual authority, peace, and truth. It's time to expose the lies, reclaim your identity in Christ, and walk boldly in the freedom God has given you.

What you think is yours might be a lie—take your thoughts captive and live free.

The battlefield is your mind—win it with the Word.

When lies whisper, let truth roar.

    What Are Projections?

The Oxford Dictionary defines projection as the action of projecting a figure in geometry. In psychology, projection occurs when someone unconsciously or intentionally assigns their thoughts, feelings, or behaviors to another person. So we can define projection as the act of projecting our thoughts, feelings, and fears onto another person, similar to a projector.   Or the mental process by which people assign to others what they believe to be true for themselves.

A Projection Experience: The Golden Orchard

Let us conduct a small imagination exercise.  Imagine yourself going along a sun-drenched path, each step making a soft crunching sound under your feet as you walk on the withered fallen leaves. The air feels thick with heat, and the sun beats down hard; it’s midday.

Feel the heat of the sun on your skin. On both sides, an endless stretch of land is lined with trees full of fruit. Bright golden oranges hang like shining jewels, standing out against the dry, hot land. You walk up to one of the trees and reach for an orange. Its skin is rough and warm, and it smells sweet. It feels just right in your hand—firm but a little soft. You lift it to your nose and take a deep breath, and the smell brings back memories of summer. Proceed to cut it open with a pocket knife and squeeze the juice out. You take a sip of the juice, and the sweet, tangy flavor wakes up your senses.

Now, come out of your imagination and concentrate on your present surroundings; you will see that you are back in the exact spot you are now. You haven’t moved at all. Did you go anywhere? No. But your imagination made it feel real. This shows how powerful your mind is—it can create vivid experiences even though they only exist in your thoughts.

You never walked through that orchard or held that golden orange—it all happened in your imagination. Still, your mind made it feel real, proving how strong and creative your thoughts can be. The difference between your current surroundings and the imaginative orchard is striking. However, you cannot dispute the fact that you saw it, demonstrating the ability of the imagination to shape a projection.

Think about this. What you just experienced was your thoughts? No. It was mine. I projected my thoughts into your mind, making you accept the reality of that experience. This demonstrates how demons penetrate our lives.  They have no real power over us, and they cannot attack us without our consent. Thus, they project pictures, emotions, or behaviors onto us, manipulating us to live our lives in line with their plan.
