The Mc Is The Undying Queen Of This Immoral World Vol.4 - NrYet

    Prologue

    Crystal.

    Blue crystalline world.

Everything around her was crystal. The buildings, the trees, the ground, even the people- assuming they could be called people; the sky too, crystalline, almost like a dome. Sculptures? Or frozen in time?

    No one knew.

No, that wasn’t quite right. Perhaps someone did know. Someone who sat on that big crystal throne, looking down on everyone, looking down on creation.

    The queen.

    Of the dead.

    And perhaps.

    The world.

    Chapter 1: A new beginning

Feels like I’m walking for the first time in my life, Jay said.

His feet shook like a newly born fawn. Shreya was behind him in case he did fall.

The two had been doing this for the last two days, in the hopes of getting him back in shape. After all, even if they could somehow get to the Queen, what were they going to do when after reaching her?

    How’s he doing? Maria said.

Both of them almost drew defensive stances, almost. They knew it was Maria inside of that body. But even now, it was hard to adjust to the sight of the Undead Queen.

    Better than yesterday, Shreya said.

The black hallway was more or less empty, or so it seemed. Dark hazy mist permeated throughout the floor, hiding most things, even the bugs or their crawling sounds.

Yet that random stench oozed out every so often, disorienting the humans.

And what about biting tendencies? Is he craving your flesh?

Why do I feel like you meant that sexually? Shreya sighed. No... no wait. He did try to bite my finger earlier when I was feeding him.

Hey, you promised you wouldn’t tell her! Slightly pink, Jay tumbled over.

Oh please, Shreya shrugged, getting the young man back on his feet again. As you can see, he’s about the same.

Good. But do be careful. It’s my first time trying that spell. I’m not sure what could go wrong.

    I’ll keep that in mind.

Jay was alive, but he had the body of a dead person, kind of similar to Maria’s. In theory, he could achieve way more than he could with his old body. But it also came with many disadvantages such as craving flesh, blood and sometimes, people.

Maria didn’t have those cravings but she attributed that to the Queen’s body being special, not herself.

We’ll stay here for two weeks, she said. Use that time to recoup and prepare.

We will, Jay said. But what about you? What if she takes your body again and this time, you end up in hell as a floating soul? What if we... have to fight you?

Then you better start preparing with that in mind.

There was a very good chance, the Queen could take a lot of beating, be on the very verge of losing and then take over Maria’s body, and screw them over again.

But just because the possibility existed, didn’t mean Maria was going to stay out of this. She wasn’t going to go down without a fight- or so she’d been telling herself. But she wasn’t sure. She lost all her friends, she lost everything she’d built up in this world. Frankly, the world had nothing to offer anymore.

It was similar, similar to the feeling she felt back at home. But back then she had no choice. She had to fight because some pig told her to. Now though, she was going to fight because she wanted to fight.

Later that evening, Maria gave the heroes a lecture.

As you can see, my body is seemingly immortal. But it’s not unkillable. For example, the black flames of hell can kill me.

It’s so red, Layns mumbled. Red skies in Nasth was common. But the heroes couldn’t really get used to it, despite the whole world being the same. Perhaps he wanted to see the blue sky once more.

But how’ll we conjure it? Ellen said. Even you can’t.

A lot of demons watched as they hung around the training grounds, talking.

The heroes were the natural enemies of the demons. These days it didn’t matter. Yet some hatred still festered. It oozed out as scornful glances at times. At other times, outright petty attitude.

I can’t... yet. But I think I will be able to create it eventually, Maria said, producing blue flames. I wanted your help in that. You guys know way more about the world than me.

Maria knew some science things from school but she never tried learning those. The few things she did know, probably wasn’t going to help her much- or so she’d concluded.

Well, we come from different timelines, and mostly from the future, so... Duran paused. Can you make guns?

I could if I knew how they worked. Sadly, Maria didn’t get to study that.

Shit, why didn’t I study this crap! Duran stomped the ground, while Layns shook his head.

So, as long as you can understand how something works, you can make it? Ellen asked.

I think so. I knew blue fire could be made with abundant oxygen, so I tried it and it worked.

Try making the fire into multiple strings and forcing them to rotate around each other on an axis, make them spin super-fast and then throw it like a fireball, Seine said.

Like this? Streams of fire coagulated in one spot, almost meshing with each other but not quite; the streams violently spun around.

    Crash!

The spinning fireball crashed into a boulder, engulfing the whole thing in epic blue fire, splitting it into dust. Burnt dust.

It was sort of like an explosion but an explosion of fire and heat.

Yeah, like that, Seine shrugged. Can you force the fire to collapse into a single point, or condense it indefinitely?

Are you trying to make her create a black hole and kill us all? Ellen said.

What’s a black hole? Maria said, clearly confused.

Lots of science. I’ll explain later but for now, we know you’re pretty powerful and you want to teach us how to be that powerful, right? Ellen said. And grow more yourself?

    Yeah.

If only we had that kind of talent though, she shrugged. But it can’t hurt to try a bit.

    They tried.

They tried for hours. But the end result was the very same; no one was as or even remotely close to how talented Maria was. Of course, they expected that. But they couldn’t produce any decent spells even after trying for hours. Even in her original body, Maria learned most spells in a matter of minutes. Yet these heroes...

So magical training proved to be somewhat of a bust. Ellen held the most potential but even she had trouble focusing for long enough.

The physical aspect was more promising, however. Especially for Duran. He seemed to have a knack for swinging swords. Layns also excelled at sword fighting, albeit mostly as thrusting at enemies from a certain distance. Jay was recovering at a great rate and soon he’d be able to be on vanguard.

Shreya’s talent for white magic proved
