Author DeeAnn Gorman, Christian Romance Novelist from Iowa. She has her degree in Human Services and a Minor in English literature. In 1989 attended Iowa writers Workshop for the summer. And won a poetry award from Poetry writers achieving a lapel pin to wear a flame on a book. She has A grown daughter and two grown sons, wonderful daughter in laws. Five cherished grandsons. Dog Mckenzie. DeeAnn has been married to her long-time love for years. She writes Amish Mennonite Romance and Mystery books. Her ancestors on her fathers side Pennsylvania, Dutch and they decided not to be baptized into the Amish religion so when they left could continue visiting and not be shunned. Traveling down the Wisconsin River to Olin, Iowa where they purchased farms there.

Chapter One
Pete Esh, thirty never married, just gave the keys to rental property. West of Kalona Iowa. Amish Village. A Rental property of his Dats . They had decided to rent it out again . After Aly Schulz , came to the door asking if it be possible to rent out. Mater invited her in , they’d known Aly since she be a wee Bobbli , babe. What could it hurt right Mater and Dat said. Pete their eldest son , agreed thoughtful about it. His Schwester would stay there also in jest . Because they planned on turning it into a Antique Primitive farm. Notorious for a gut adventure. Pete said give it a try and he’d live in the Guest house on the farm . And move his Belgium’s out there to it with Dats help. Aly Yoder, a Amish Romance Novelist. Her Mater and Fater moved on the property with her. In the Daude Haus next to Aly rental. Aly had an Older Braudaar moved into her Parents farm to farm it . Soy Beans . Mater along with Fater felt it an adventure. Today being the first day when all moved inside . They scrubbed with soapy water the cobble stone floor of the house. And polished the wood work , counters and tables. Next the windows washed till sparkling . Out front the porch swept of leaves . Replaced with rod iron chairs to sit on , on end of the long porch , and other end a rod iron picnic table. A stone porch with a glass less window . And steps leading down to the yard out front. Fall had set in mid November right before Thanksgiving. A pretty place to live except one thing rumors of a Ghost out here. Aly Schulz, twenty five years old . A full time writer for Ghost Aspiration Writers . Investigations into Ghost stories. She’d went to Minnonite College for writing. And graduated with honors, high marks . She attended Amish writers workshops regularly. And had poetry readings at her house. This place she had picked by herself. Her Parents came for security not to be alone. A great big ole farm house . Aly Schulz would make good use out of every inch of space. In her large sitting room walls of books a library now.
All of her book collection all here now. With a long oak library table . To sit and read and write . A type writer set there lots of typing paper. Pads and pencils to write with. Black heavy drapes covered wall length windows. Which as it gets colder would work out great now. The floor had antique linoleum , with crochet rugs setting here and there on the floor. Tonight she sat at the table in her library looking up latest Documentaries here .
A Reading with guests here at The Ridge Farm. Thoughts are on this matter . Concerning with a sale of the farm . The farm rented and Guests leaving after locks shutting on their own, windows going up and down. Except no one being there in the room at the time. One Renter and his Fra and family, heard a party going on in the other room . They entered in to find it bare and unoccupied. Then folks there became scared , afraid to stay under this roof of horror some said. And yet another story a young Amish lady said she lay in bed before sleep. She and her man heard a havy door shut with a heavy bang . Her Husband got out of bed to investigate. To find nothing there not even a heavy door. The Baby lay in their bedroom Thankfully. Then finally The Property Owners shut the farm up . Until now , Aly Schulz , along with Parents asked to rent it. Armor Esh family owned it. Mater and Fater settled in nicely. And they roomed across the hall from her Bedroom. Then next to it a sitting room behind doors with dark green curtains in it. And two big over stuffed couches in black fabrics. Also lots of fluffy pillows, with folded blankets. What a cozy place to set visit or read a book. This all up on the second floor. Two guest rooms for family or friends. A back porch five season porch . A big fire place to heat the house , lots of oil lamps . To lite the room . Mater and Fater would help look for clues for a Ghost . And we’d all work together every day. Everyone had a cell
