Many years ago this writer had the occasion to hear what could only be described as a true ghost story.
My good friend, Grace Houston, said her family had been visited by uninvited guests over a period of several years. They reluctantly called them ghosts
for want of a better name. Regardless of the explanation, her story rang true with me, and I am convinced that something extraordinary happened there.
First, I must tell you that my friend’s name is not really Grace Houston.
The phenomenon I am about to relate took place in a small North Carolina town near Duke University, famous at the time for its department of parapsychology. Grace
said she had been bothered by those in the department enough and did not want a bunch of ghost hunters
prowling
