    Even in the face of unprecedented advancement within the medical profession, there continues to be an alarming escalation in amongst chronic diseases.

    This paradox is indicative of a much larger public health crisis that underlines how healthcare strategies are likely facing in the wrong direction.

    Despite advancements in high-tech diagnostic devices, transformational treatments and personalized medicine that as revolutionized health care science, the incidence of chronic diseases nursing such as diabetes cancer and cardiovascular disease is still on increase.

    The discrepancy in early death rates when comparing expected versus actual deaths highlights the need to explore these underlying factors more deeply and re-think healthcare priorities & focus.

    Health Crisis and an Erroneous Detour

    The reason for this is multifactorial and includes changes in lifestyle, environment exposures, social determinants of health making stresses on our chronic diseases despite improvements in medical treatment.

    The modern-day sedentary habits, improper diet patterns and never-ending stress levels make chronic diseases more than common.

    Moreover, the pollutants and toxins in environment double up all these health threats increasing not only life threatening diseases but also other chronic one.

    Increasingly, however, these biologic insults occur against a backdrop of socioeconomic challenges including the lack of access to adequate healthcare infrastructure and resources necessary for health proper education, nutrition as well diet — issues with disproportionately large effects that haunt underprivileged minorities.

    Additionally, and perhaps even more compellingly, the present need to treat symptoms with medications only serves to further chronic disease instead of getting at its origins.
