About this ebook
“Nexxus” is a profound reflection on the duality of each being, whether on Earth or anywhere in the universe. The fiction that permeates “Nexxus” is the reality that has shaped the history of humanity over the millennia, and that is repeated in other universal civilizations. In the 1940s, when we detonated atomic bombs and shot down a peaceful alien ship that was visiting us, in our eagerness to capture its technology, we sent a clear message to peoples and civilizations much more advanced than we could have imagined: We, human beings, are a dangerous race, not only to ourselves, but also to other worlds; our ethics are the search for power for power’s sake, and our philosophy is not to share power.
And this message was understood and responded to in kind. By exterminating a peaceful and defenseless crew, we opened the doors to a universe we did not know: Other races, advanced, powerful and ruthless; Worlds, beings, powers and horrors never imagined by the human race.

LIFE ON EARTH IS NOT AN EXCLUSIVE PRINCIPLE OF EARTH
LIFE IS A UNIVERSAL PRINCIPLE
Vision on power,
by those who have power:
Having power is the ability to impose oneself over everything and everyone. Power should not be divided so as not to be weakened. Having power generates more power; anything goes in order to have more power.
Vision on power,
by those who have no power:
Power must be divided, shared, socialized, otherwise it will become tyranny.
In the late 1940s, a militarized power created a scientific project to capture and study an alien spacecraft, aiming to discover the high-tech secrets behind extraterrestrial engineering.
Scientists and military strategists of the time ignored the first fundamental of war:
They knew nothing about the visitors from another world .
In July 1947, in Roswell, New Mexico, for the first time in human history, a spaceship from another world was shot down by Earth forces, and its crew murdered.
It was a defenseless, peaceful, unarmed scientific research vessel. A single alien survivor fled in an escape pod. This attack and this escape would change the fate of humanity forever...
Nexus - sm (from the Latin nexus, meaning connection or link)
Nexxus - sm (Derivation of the word nexus, which means encounters, dualities, conflicts between right and wrong, good and evil, war and peace, light and darkness)

The Beginning of Everything
When did it all really start?
For a long time, I believed that the events that would shape our future began in the 1940s, when we discovered how to use the atom to create powerful technologies, with the capacity to save and kill, and when we decided to put our hands on an alien ship, on something that did not belong to us, to hijack its advanced technology, its knowledge and serve our armament and imperialist interests. But, looking back now, after several decades, everything that has happened and is happening to us is the reflection of a reality that was born with us. Yes, we are all born with a duality, with a tendency to follow one of two paths, the one that will make us choose will be the circumstances and our needs. We can always do what is right, but we do not always follow this path.
In the early years of that decade, the world began to learn about something much greater than our limited reality informed us and that we believed. Reports of sightings of unidentified flying objects began to multiply. From the most remote regions of the planet, stories of abductions and friendly contacts with beings from another world emerged, repeating themselves like echoes, announcing that there were more things between heaven and earth than we believed possible. The philosopher was wise to state that there are more things between heaven and earth than our vain philosophy can imagine. I believe that not even he had any idea of the profound truth contained in his words.
What had previously been considered the ravings of lunatics soon caught the attention of governments. The similarities in the reports were disturbing: detailed descriptions of glowing ships, humanoid figures and incomprehensible technologies. Those involved were subjected to rigorous tests, some still experimental, such as the use of deep hypnosis and a truth serum with infallible effects. Although controversial, this fictional serum, supposedly capable of revealing the most hidden truths of the mind, only intensified the mystery. Instead of finding contradictions, the results confirmed surprising and disturbing details.
We humans have always been driven by an insatiable thirst for power. The possibility of contact with an alien civilization not only aroused our curiosity, but also the ambition to expand our borders and appropriate a technology that would take us beyond the limits of our world. The appearances of these ships were not seen simply as encounters with the unknown, but as an opportunity to gain control over something that could transform our own strength and influence in the universe.
Faced with the realization that we were indeed being visited by extraterrestrial beings, and that they evidently had technology far superior to ours, a bold and secret initiative emerged: Project Orion. The objective was clear and audacious: to find and capture an alien ship on Earth. The world had already witnessed the effects of a world war, and a second conflict between nations was looming. There was a scientific-military arms race taking place. The idea that we could use an unknown technology that was far more advanced than ours was something that seduced the great powers of the entire world.
Whoever mastered this knowledge would have the power to rewrite the destiny of humanity—and perhaps even expand its domains beyond this world. For the first time, the human race had before it the possibility of leaving the confines of its own world and expanding to infinite planets. The idea of becoming an interplanetary, intergalactic power, with all the possibilities that this would imply, this was a unique opportunity from the point of view of the commanders of Earth at that time.
As the sightings increased, physical evidence began to accumulate. Strange markings were found in remote terrain—circular and oval formations where the earth appeared to have been melted by intense, unknown heat. In Peru, for example, an even more disturbing discovery was made: on an unexplored mountain range, inaccessible to locals, what looked like an airstrip was found. Rocks had been mysteriously cut and flattened, creating a smooth surface on the tops of the mountains. The markings on this plateau were identical to those found on soil in many parts of the world.
1945
In 1945, humanity unveiled its most terrifying creation to the world: the atomic bomb. The explosions in Hiroshima and Nagasaki demonstrated not only the incredible ingenuity of the human intellect, but also its indifference to life. This act of mass destruction did not only capture the attention of the nations of our world. Somewhere beyond our skies, other civilizations began to watch our species with renewed attention.
The detonation of the atomic bombs sent a very clear warning, not only to the nations of our planet, but also to civilizations we did not know existed: We human beings are violent and aggressive, and we use our intelligence to impose our power over our enemies, no matter the cost.
Interplanetary Civilizations
As far as we can see with our current observation technology, which is around 93 billion light years, there are more worlds than we could count, even if we had eternity to do so. The universe is expanding at a dizzying speed; thousands of solar systems are created every second. It is worth repeating that, even if we had even more powerful technology than we currently have, we still would not be able to see all the worlds that exist. The truth is that the universe is growing at a much faster rate than we can count.
To believe that life is a principle exclusive to our world is a testament to naivety or presumption.
There are several types of interplanetary civilizations, each characterized by its degree of technological, moral and ethical development. Some are extremely advanced not only in science, but also in ethics and respect for life. These societies have achieved a balance between technological progress and moral values, using their intelligence not for destruction, but for the common good. They stand out for their incessant search for harmony, creating intergalactic cooperation networks, with the aim of promoting peace and universal balance, in addition to helping the evolution of emerging races, such as, for example, the civilization of Earth.
Their technologies are geared toward well-being, and they rarely engage in conflict. Instead, they choose to resolve disputes through dialogue and understanding. Life, in all its forms, is deeply valued, and their knowledge is shared with other civilizations to promote sustainable and peaceful development. They form interplanetary alliances and consortia that watch over cosmic balance and, when necessary, join forces to intervene against threats that could endanger the existence of defenseless races.
On the other hand, there are also civilizations that, although technologically inferior, have reached a high level of moral and ethical evolution. These pacifist worlds, devoid of advanced technologies, prefer a life in harmony with nature and other life forms. They have no interest in conquering or dominating other races, but they have a deep sense of respect and connection with their natural environments. These civilizations value the ecological balance of their planets and prefer a simple and sustainable existence.
They live in symbiosis with nature, developing an intrinsic spirituality that guides their interactions with each other and with the universe around them. Conflicts are virtually non-existent, as their societies are governed by deeply rooted ethical values, which allow them to resolve any disagreements through peaceful means. Although they do not engage in military alliances, they are often protected by more technologically advanced civilizations that recognize the value of their peaceful wisdom.
At the other end of the spectrum, there are civilizations that are technologically superior but completely focused on conquest and domination. These militarized societies see other races as resources to be exploited or obstacles to be eliminated. Driven by an expansionist mindset, they use their technology not for collective progress but to impose their power over other civilizations, often brutally and without any ethical or moral consideration.
They are devoid of any sentimentality or respect for life, and their culture is centered on military force and supported by highly developed technology that is used as a tool to subdue any form of resistance. Ruled by authoritarian elites, these civilizations keep their populations under strict control, with no room for dissent. Their empires are built on fear and oppression, and any internal or external opposition is quickly neutralized. For them, technology is a means of domination, not of construction.
Finally, there are civilizations that are extraordinarily advanced in all aspects, both technologically and morally, and that, although their conduct is to prioritize peace, do not shy away from using their military power when faced
