About the Author
Acknowledgments
I would like to acknowledge my utmost thanks to my husband, Mike, who always showed a quiet supportive patience, which gave me the peace I needed to pen the thoughts the Lord was giving me. That time was necessary, and he provided it.
Also my son, Mike Jr., I could not have gotten this accomplished without his help. At eighty-five with my eyesight limited and minimal computer skills, it would have been impossible. He had the God-given desire and skills to do this, and he did. No easy task for sure.
To my immediate family for all the support and help whenever and whatever was needed to get the job done.
To Eddie for working on the cover graphics.
God has blessed us with each other for these many years, for which I am so grateful.
Love, Mom.
Introduction
This book is solely for one purpose—to exalt the Lord God Almighty. He has done for me what no other could do. He has redeemed, restored, and brought me to Himself. He has taught me what life is truly about—Him.
He has given each of us our time on this earth, to see His majesty and splendor, to walk with Him, to wonder at His wonders, to love our brothers and sisters (our neighbors). We are in His image. That is a wonder in itself. Once we understand that, He is so happy, and we will be too.
God has pain when He is rejected by us. When we fall in love, we definitely want to be loved back. He loved us first. He longs for us to love Him back, since He is God and has given us life. He has the answer for all of earth's problems (Romans 3:23). He, though God of all, paid for each of our sins so we could be restored to Himself. Isaiah 53 describes Jesus and His sacrifice for each and every one of us! Isaiah prophesied this approximately seven hundred years before it happened.
Romans 10:9 says, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Luke 13:3 states, I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
It becomes the abundant life (John 10:10). No matter what comes in this life.
This life is temporal. After this one, the next is forever with Him, and that is what He wanted all along.
This endeavor (my book) is a way to tell a lot of people about the Lord God Jehovah.
What He has done for me, He wants to do for you.
Praise the Lord for all His wonderful works (Luke 8:39).
Story Behind Poem The Old and New Martha
These words came to me after I had been a believer for several years. Looking back over my life, trying to understand myself, God brought me to this conclusion:
When we run from God for whatever reason, real problems come. The worst problems are the ones we cause ourselves. Other people's sins can hurt us,
