ABOUT THE AUTHOR: While Michael DeMocker has written numerous books for young readers, his main job is as a photojournalist in New Orleans. He was born in the backseat of his dad’s car in the parking lot of the local AAA baseball team’s stadium in Rochester, New York. He grew up loving baseball, had a Cincinnati Reds hat he didn’t remove for years, and batted .467 his senior year in high school while playing first base.
