CHAPTER 1
The Mountain King
Once upon a time, there lived a king. The king was beloved by all: The clergy, the nobility and the common folk. He did his very best to keep the interest of the people at heart. The king was nicknamed, The Mountain King
. The king was not a big fan of his nickname, but he gave up after a while.
The reason behind the king’s nickname was the region that he ruled. The castle was basically surrounded by mountains. You could always hear an echo late at night. Thankfully, the parts where there were no mountains were a valley, multiple valleys in fact. Furthermore, the valleys were separated from the mountains by a river that flowed right down the middle.
Because of the geographically strategic location of the castle, not only did the castle look like an impenetrable fortress, but the river that flowed down the middle was used to turn the valleys into fertile farmland.
The king had three sons: the firstborn – Elliot, a man of physical prowess and strength. When it came to brute strength there was no one to match him. Because of this, he became prideful and set his sights on the throne,
