Acknowledgement
I wish to acknowledge the fortunate upbringing I was given by the best of parents and the fun and happy environment that existed with my brothers and sisters.
Also, I wish to acknowledge my teachers of Reiki being Robin Juniper, Robyn Vincent and Paul Mitchell. Also I benefited immensely from the Teachings of Aikido from Paul Mitchell.
This combination of Reiki and Aikido opened a wider expanse to my mind’s eye.
Our Home the Earth
Spirituality, religion and energy are elements in our environment and all of which have hidden questions difficult to answer. Their roots are set in abstraction and don’t appear tangible and are reliant on a feeling or a faith or heart felt emotion. These elements are at the centre of our biggest mystery of our creation and who created us. These questions have revolved in my mind for a long time. This rock we call earth I feel just didn’t happen by accident; our existence is too perfect. It’s as if a perfect setting was produced for our existence, all is here on this earth to provide for all our needs. The abundance of oxygen, water and the energy from the sun, all we require exists here to live in comfort. The sun rises each morning in the east travels across our sky and then sets in the west, giving us time to work through the day and equally time to rest in the darkness of night. The sun’s rising gives a false impression of the sun moving around the earth. Where in actual fact, our rock, the earth that we are sitting on, is travelling at the speed of 107,000 kilometres per hour (67,000mph) orbiting the sun. Also, our earth to give us night and day is spinning on its axis suspended by nothing at a speed of 1,674 kilometres per hour (1,040 mph). To make things a little more complicated, our flying rock weighs 5.97 billion trillion metric tons. In the darkness of night, the stars become visible. Instead of seeing a distant twinkling light, imagine each light is a rotating rock much larger than the one you are standing on. Strange that for centuries, our earth has maintained these cycles of perpetual motion of spinning on its axis and its path around the sun that supplies us unwaveringly with energy and warmth.
Now when one thinks about these speeds of the earth, they are very significant. Take for example something like most of us have done on country roads and travel at the speed
