he winding road snaked through the dense forest, the trees looming tall and imposing on either side. In the fading light of dusk, a modest cabin came into view, nestled amidst the towering pines. The car pulled up to the rustic wooden structure, and one by one, five friends emerged, their faces illuminated by the warm glow of the porch light.

Ava stepped out first, her eyes alight with excitement as she surveyed their weekend retreat. Her long brown hair danced in the evening breeze, and a smile tugged at the corners of her lips. Behind her, Jake followed, his rugged features softened by a grin as he unloaded their bags from the trunk of the car.

Maya and Ethan emerged next, their laughter ringing out as they exchanged playful banter. Maya's dark curls framed her face, and her eyes sparkled with anticipation. Ethan, ever the jokester, flashed a mischievous grin as he teased Maya, his best friend since childhood.

Bringing up the rear was Ben, the quietest of the group, his presence marked by a thoughtful expression as he took in their surroundings. His dark hair fell across his forehead, and his brown eyes held a hint of apprehension as he glanced around the forest.
