    THE DIVISION WARS

    PROLOGUE

    Abraham Lincoln said during

the Douglas debates in 1858 that A nation divided cannot stand. Our nation faces that same crisis again; only the divides have multiplied manyfold. The following are some of the main divisions in our country that can eradicate 240 years of Constitutional government.

    STORY I: THE DIVISION WARS

The RELIGOUS wars—God versus the godless. Church versus State, Christianity versussocialism.

The LIFE VERSUS DEATH wars—Abortion versus pro-life

The FAMILY wars—Marriage versus non-marriage. Family versus non-family. Children versuspets.

The GENDER wars—man versus woman. LGBT versusstraight.

The RACE wars—White versus black. Ethnicity versushomogeneity.

The IMMIGRANT wars—citizens versus non-citizens. illegals versuscitizens.

The REPUBLIC wars I—Constitutional government versus anarchy. Bill of Rights negated

The REPUBLIC wars II—Civil rights versus natural rights

The GUN wars—The right to bear arms. Gun ownership versus gun control

The FREE SPEECH wars—political correctness versus freespeech.

    The CLASS warfare—haves versus havenots.

The CULTURE war— ‘globalism’ versus Americannationalism.

Given the above divides in our society, the story or stories continue. Led by the LEFT mantra favoring DIVERSITY, that element of society has veered even more leftward, now preferring new age socialism, in reality, Communism, arising like the Phoenix bird and rearing its ugly head again. A leading Leftist candidate for President, Bernie Sanders, a long-term Senator from Maine, is openly campaigning on Socialist, Marxist, Communist slogans for America. The horrible aspect of his rants is that he has millions of misinformed millennials favoring his agenda. Will he succeed? That and more scenarios will be examined in the following pages.

Without further ado, let the stories continue.

STORY II: Bringing the DIVIDES into focus—the dysfunctionality of America.

STORY III: TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME—how the LEFT has come so close to winning but cannot cross the END ZONE.

STORY IV: WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE????? The future of America?

Part II – pathways III or IV

    STORY V: Epilogue I & II—Will Anarchy Reign?

    INTRODUCTION

    A year ago, after

I finished my book, NO MORE, I was content in just having written a significant work on the insanity of the world we live in and my solutions to a number of the societal, theological, political, and economic problems that we face as citizens of the USA. The work was controversial at best, and while many conservatives praised the work, many of those that, I believe, have been tainted by the ‘world of today’ frowned upon the book. Comments such as ‘Neanderthal thinking’, ‘Neocon’, ‘Rooted in the Racist past’, ‘Misogynist’, ‘Radical Religious insanity’, ‘Throwback to the dark ages’…The list was quite long. I believe few of those who raised the most vindictive responses, even bothered to offer other thoughts and solutions in those 100 days.

Be that what it may, I know in writing NO MORE, that our country was very polarized and that the people on the secularized, progressive left would not take my words kindly for a number of reasons. As outlined in NO MORE this faction in America grew out of WWII, was inspired by Communist and Socialist propaganda, and exploded onto the national scene in the turbulent 1960s.

Few people today recall the turmoil, the upheavals in society that marked that decade. College campuses exploded with violence against the ‘Establishment’, the Vietnam War, the Christian churches, and every institution which made up America. TV daily seemed to go from one insanity to another each night. If it was not the horror of the war, it was riots in many cities across the US, most often Black against White. The ‘Civil Rights’ movement came about to try and stem the tide, but all the laws, the regulations by Federal, State, and local governments, plus the actions by the courts just made matters worse.

The ’60s went into the ’70s, the tenor of violence toned down, but the damage to society was starting. Abortion became legal upon demand with Roe vs. Wade in 1973. Life became secondary to a woman’s right to privacy, an Interesting legal concept nowhere found in the Constitution but relied upon by prior courts’ ruling that contraception was a legal right for women. The door was now wide open; death on demand could be had at every medical clinic in the US, no questions asked. Except for the Catholic Church, the Christian churches, while espousing the sanctity of life, all fell in line with the abortion issues, hiding behind the banner of ‘woman’s rights to privacy’. Sad to say, even the Catholic Church, while condemning abortion, did not raise any real opposition to abortion. Suddenly it seemed, millions of women, predominately white middle-class women, were aborting babies every year. The totals have been staggering, nearly one and a half million abortions each year; almost 60 million babies aborted since 1973. One asks what happened to the white middle-class in America? The answer is simple; their babies have been aborted, and pets now occupy the realm. Currently, there are over four pets for every child in the US.!!!!

‘Civil Rights’ has also ruled the land. Affirmative action, quotas, forced busing, sex education in schools, separation of Church and State the list again goes on and on. Every institution which constituted society in America seems to have fallen to the rabble. The Christian churches, which formed the basic foundation of the US for morality and values, have surrendered their pulpits to the proletariat. Divorce has become commonplace in society. Premarital sex has become the norm; families are not encouraged, and if couples do marry, children bearing beyond one or two is deeply frowned upon in church and public. Homosexuality has reared its ugly head again, and civil rights for gays has become a common theme. The institution of marriage, long a basic foundation of society, has fallen at last to the rabble.

Today we see a society in flames; actually, we see Western civilization in flames. The Christian churches, many abandoned, have become centers for the ‘gray’, the elderly in our society. The Catholic Church of which I am a member is especially sad. The Church has always endorsed families and children, but it has become demonized. One goes to any Sunday Mass, families with children are almost non-existent. The only exception is the Hispanic population, where children are still prized. However, the Hispanic population, many of whom are illegal in status, do not assimilate into the American culture, a vast problem, which I will address later in this work.

Given the above, unknowingly, the stage was set for this work. I have outlined some of the divides in our nation today and just listed the divides in a file. However, a little while ago, a patient of mine, who had read my book NO MORE, asked me this poignant question, Dr. Masters, I loved your book. When is the sequel coming out? I must have stared at her and muttered some comment. But later in my office, dwelling on the question, the answer was obvious, namely, the work that you are about to discover. Looking at the ‘divides’ and having read much about the Civil War in the 1860s, I realized that the situation in the US is vastly more precarious than 150 years ago. One or two national issues can most likely be dealt with through societal means, but given the above list, and I do not think the list is complete, the very fabric of society is threatened, which will ultimately lead to the destruction of our community.

This book will be structurally somewhat different from my first work, in that in NO MORE, I stressed first the problem then immediately a proposed solution to that problem. Given the gravity of the ‘divides’ in the US today, this work will end with probable scenarios to the ‘divides’. Any society by its very nature can withstand a certain amount of stress in its economic, political, religious, familial realms, but there are finite limits. History is replete with former nations, empires, societies which have fallen to the waste bins of time and have disintegrated. For any society, the stressors must be addressed, or humanity will suffer.

The delineations described above, sad to say, go beyond the division stage and actually into ‘conflict’ scenarios. Therefore, as I introduce each ‘divide’, the label will also include the label of ‘wars’. For example, the conflict ‘man versus woman’ will also be labeled ‘the GENDER War’. The use of the word ‘war’ radically increases the tenor of the subject matter since violence and mayhem are natural byproducts of war.

We see such violence and mayhem in our society today, violence in the streets, mayhem in our schools, insanity in our government. Washington has divorced itself from the citizenry of the USA, much as England did with the colonies in the 1770s. NO MORE addressed many of these issues with Washington and solutions to many of the various problems facing our government today.

This work thus will focus on these 12 major societal issues, and while many of these ‘divides’ may seem unredeemable, God works in mysterious ways. Society changes not in a straight upward line but often meanders, like a river. Advances made in any organization can be eradicated quickly, and chaos may reign for many years or even hundreds of years. Wars, natural disasters, famine, pestilence can all take their toll on society. The historically illiterate will always state, society cannot regress, cannot return to former times…. A Spanish scholar named George Santayana once stated, Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat history. I believe that is very true in these troubled times in Western civilization, especially in the US. Be that what it may, being a Christian man, I always have believed in the power of prayer and the power of faith to guide our society to a better pathway for civilization. Without further ado, let us go to WAR:

    How many times these

past 70 years has one heard the phrase, ‘God is dead?’ It seems to be the major theme on any college campus and is the theme of many Hollywood movies. Being somewhat older, I can still remember in the 1950s and 1960s when Christianity was alive and well in the USA. It was also a time when Hollywood also mirrored Christianity in America. Major studio productions centered around the Bible and portrayed many famous characters. ‘THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, THE ROBE, JESUS OF NAZARETH, BEN HUR, SAMSON, AND DELILAH… Gone were those days, many thought forever, but a few years ago, an actor named Mel Gibson defied Hollywood and produced THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST which went on to out-sell every movie made that year and has become a perennial favorite at Easter to be played at numbers of Christian churches. The movie and Gibson were ostracized by the entertainment media, to the point that the movie was not even nominated for an Academy Award despite being the most popular movie of any theme in 2004.

The political blocklist of anything portraying God and faith may be having inevitable cracks in its armor. Recently a series of movies have refuted the the God is dead slogan, entitled God is not dead, parts I, II, III. A significant movie studio was released, not under its name but a subsidiary studio, PAUL THE APOSTLE, at Easter in 2018. It will be interesting to see how well these Christian movies do. One can predict that if the movie is faith-based, it will be popular with the Christian faithful and totally ignored by the secular left, the media, and, of course, Hollywood.

The US and, in fact, the Western world was not always this alienated from God and religion. As mentioned in the first part of this section, religious movies, books, TV shows were extremely popular with the American public in the 1950s and 1960s. One of the most popular Television shows, which my family always watched, was the Bishop Sheen show, LIFE IS WORTH LIVING. First broadcast on radio, the show graduated to the TV genre in the 1950s and 1960s. It was worthy to note that even in the tumultuous days of the 1960s, when virtually all the institutions, Christian churches, education, news, the government were being bombarded almost daily with radicalism on all sides, the Bishop Sheen show continued throughout the turmoil and remained immensely popular during the 1960’s. Sad to say, the show’s demise was not for lack of viewers, sponsors, and the like but the Catholic Church bureaucracy. Certain high-ranking clergy resented the popularity of Bishop Sheen deeply and forced his show off the airwaves. The Catholic Church was undergoing its upheavals, accelerated by the Vatican II council in 1965.

This conclave overturned the traditionalist segment in the Church, such as Bishop Sheen, in favor of the more ‘progressive church’. The Bishop Sheen show was seen as a threat to the new world order in America, and, horribly, within the Church itself. Bishop Sheen was relegated to a small parish in New York, where he preached God’s message until his untimely death in 1979. Alas, he was another casualty of the ‘secular wars’ raging in earnest these past 50 years. The sad story has not ended there; a movement has been afoot to canonize Bishop Sheen. It has met with extreme opposition within the hierarchy of the Church for over 30 years. Why??? As mentioned above, Bishop Sheen represented the very traditional element in the Church, silenced and threatened with excommunication if the members speak out. Only time will tell if the Church can regain its traditional values.

If truth is known, these wars against God and religion, especially the Catholic Church, have been waging for over 400 years with their roots in the Reformation period of the Middle Ages and initiated by an Augustine monk named Martin Luther, who initially wanted to reform the Church and make it even more ‘progressive’. When confronted with Luther’s accusations, the Catholic Church’s clergy, who, agreed that many ills of the Church needed to be rectified, responded convening the Council of Trent in 1545 to address many of the grievances made public by Pastor Luther. The Council addressed many issues at stake, including selling of indulgences, property rights, celibacy of the priests, papal authority.

The Council achieved much good, but the die had been cast, however, and the Reformists, led by Luther, imbued with their self-importance, refused to relinquish their demands. Led by Luther, one by one, of the protestors started their churches and were summarily excommunicated from the Catholic Church. The Lutheran Church was founded in 1525. John Calvin formed the Calvinist Church in 1519. Other Protestant Churches sprang up; The Presbyterian Church, the Anabaptist church, the Puritans and finally the Anglican Church in England, founded after King Henry VIII broke with The Catholic Church in 1534.

The Reformation lasted over 100 years, dividing Europe into competing religious camps. Northern Europe went mainly Protestant, and southern Europe mainly remained Catholic. The battles were brought to America with the founding of the 13 colonies and eventually the USA. Today there are over 30,000 supposedly Christian churches, all preaching some variant of the Bible and Christianity.

While over the past 400 years, these Christian churches have splintered over numerous interpretations of the Bible and Christian dogma, they all have been united in core beliefs; God, Jesus Christ, the family, children, the sanctity of life, Christian values, reliance on the Bible for guidance in life.

However, in the past one hundred years, the Devil and his minions have steadily crept into the foundational elements of Christian civilization. Socialism and its devil disciple, Communism, reared their ugly heads in the Russian revolution in 1917. Gaining power in an essentially Christian nation, the Communists succeeded in virtually destroying the Russian Orthodox Church for almost 70 years. Churches were destroyed in mass or converted to other uses. Religion was forced into the underground.

Other Devil-inspired movements also emerged, Nazism, Fascism, and the like. The world was plunged into World War II, annihilating millions of people in its destruction. The world appeared in the late 1940’s thinking that catastrophe was over. That was not the case. Socialism and its cohort, Communism, continued to spread rampantly in the world. China, Indochina, Eastern Europe all became victims of the Devil’s hoards. The Cold War was being waged on many fronts.

Christianity was still on the surface alive and well and remained the foundational belief system of Europe, America, and most of the world. However, the Devil was at work in all the Christian countries. Even America, the only Christian nation, became gradually corrupted from the inside. For the first time in over 400 years, the roots of Christianity were being eaten away. Christian churches who remained firm in their beliefs were being undermined by ‘progressive’ worms bent on destroying the very fabric of these churches, thereby destroying not only the faithful but also society.

‘Incrementalism’ was the key weapon in the ‘progressive’ armament. While not being able to attack the church institutions directly, by insinuating their efforts underground, so to speak, the destruction in the society has been tremendous. The PL (PROGRESSIVE LEFT) knew that frontal attacks would not work, so they attacked families as foundations of culture and religion.

Of course, the most vulnerable person in the family and the linchpin is the woman, wives, and mothers. Tied to the family by religion, childbearing, and husband, women became susceptible to the subtle calls for more identity, personality, goals outside the home, independence, and the like. The pleasures awaiting the ‘new age’ female became more and more alluring with the constant media barrage of money, freedom, societal opportunities. Much like Eve’s temptation in the Garden of Eden to eat the apple from the Tree of Good and Evil, women in the role of wives and mothers in America were seduced with the pleasures brought forth by an increasingly secular world. The Women’s Lib movement became more and more dominant in the media, portraying wives and mothers less than average, almost like slaves. Husbands, the family, and the churches were all described as slavish institutions, holding women ‘down’ much as the Negroes were held down by society.

As usual, the PL had solutions to this social ‘injustice’. Led by the invention of Birth Control pills and other contraceptive devices, women were encouraged to determine how many children should be brought into the family. The mantra of ‘no more than two’ became commonplace. As usual, the message was in many cases very subliminal; the earth was overpopulated, we are running out of room, we are using up earth’s resources, people are starving. It became somehow ‘unpatriotic’ to have more than two children. This worked well with the other messages that women need to be out of the home and to work to ‘be all they were destined to be’. Songs, such as Helen Reddy’s mantra, I AM WOMAN’, blasted on the airwaves, announcing the ‘new age’ for women. It is interesting to note that the white middle-class American women bought into this thinking much more than any of the other ethnicities in America; black, Hispanic, Asian.

The Christian churches, caught generally off guard, could not maintain a united front in battling these heresies that were arising. In 1973, the SCOTUS decision, ROE VS WADE, made elective abortion the law of the land. Women were now totally divorced from their maternal side. If BC methods did not work, the fetus could now be aborted at any stage of the pregnancy. Again, the Christian churches were caught unprepared to battle this new age heresy. Sadly, most of the churches acquiesced to the right of abortion, totally ignoring one of the Ten Commandments, THOU SHALT NOT MURDER.

The next forty-plus years have been horrendous in the Western World; over 60 million babies have been aborted, murdered in the name of convenience and privacy issues. The death toll continues; in the US alone, still over one million babies are aborted every year. Half-hearted efforts by Christian groups have only been partially effective in stopping the carnage. When one analyzes the numbers in the last 40 years, the statistics show plainly the dramatic decrease in the Caucasian race in the US and correspondently the dramatic increase in the ethnic minorities. Prognostications are already put the Caucasian race in America as a minority within the next 20 to 30 years.

The PL knew they were on a roll. They could see that the effect of separating
