    Chapter One: War

    It had been three generations , and nothing had changed for the Lupis Pack. They had been settled in the forest for over 300 years when the Ash Pack arrived on the other side of the state border. Initially, they tried to negotiate their way into taking Lupis land, using smooth words to make it seem like a mutual gain. But it was a facade, a ploy to take over their territory and drain their resources, as they had done to many other packs across the country.

    When diplomacy failed, the Ash Pack resorted to more aggressive measures, making small threats and leaving dead animals along the border. It never fazed the Lupis Pack; they were strong, and it did not deter their ancestors. Instead, they buried the animals with dignity, growing a flower field around the border, symbolising their dedication to life. The Lupis Pack, though powerful, understood and respected the Circle of Life, knowing that when they took, they must also give back. This principle made them one of the strongest but less known packs. They didn't take more than necessary and didn't rule with fear.

    The Ash Pack didn't like that they couldn't instil fear into the Lupis Pack, so they slowly progressed in their desire to forcefully take the land. They attempted to poison the Lupis food supply with wolfsbane, but the Lupis Pack had many allies. Even though they refused offers to help fight the battles, their allies provided food until their animals passed the wolfsbane out of their systems.

    The Council, a group of the oldest and most powerful wolves, learned of the Ash Pack's actions through another pack, threatening to disband their pack and leave them all Rogues. This severe consequence made the Ash Pack relent, at least for a couple of decades. It wasn't until the new Alpha, the son of the previous leader, came to
