The Creation of the World:

Before time as we understand it, there existed only Ginnungagap, the great emptiness. From the sweat of Ymir's brow and the melting ice of Niflheim, a primordial cow named Auðumbla emerged. She nourished Ymir with her milk, sustaining his existence in the void. As Ymir slept, the cow licked the salt from the ice, slowly revealing the form of Búri, the first of the gods.

Búri's descendants, the Æsir gods, engaged in an epic struggle against the primordial giants, a conflict that echoed through the vast expanse of the cosmos. With thunderous clashes and earth-shaking blows, they clashed against the colossal might of Ymir, the progenitor of the giant race. In a climactic battle that shook the very foundations of existence, the Æsir finally prevailed, overcoming Ymir's formidable strength and casting him down into the depths of the void.
