In the depths of despair, I found myself confined within the walls of a prison for 18 long months. The practice of affirmations can be a powerful tool for creating positive changes in one’s life.
Affirmations work by harnessing the power of both our conscious and subconscious minds. The conscious mind is the part of our mind that is responsible for logic and reasoning. When we consciously make positive affirmations, we start the process of changing our thoughts and beliefs. However, the conscious mind alone is not enough to create lasting change.
That’s where the subconscious mind comes in. The subconscious mind controls a large portion of our actions, habits, and emotional responses. It is constantly absorbing information and forming beliefs based on our experiences, even when we’re not consciously aware of it.
