About this ebook

A hillbilly and a former Marine walk into a bar sounds like the opening line of a joke. But it's no laughing matter for Tyler Warboys when werewolf alphas Rocky and Blaze Blackstone enter the Byte Bar, the computer repair store where he works.

Tyler is instantly attracted to the huge, powerful, but allegedly dangerous creatures. And, miracle of miracles, they feel a connection to him, too. But how can that be? Tyler is human and Rocky and Blaze are not. However, the alphas can smell a faint something on Tyler that has them wondering if he isn't as human as he's always thought. But as Tyler has never shifted, how can he be a werewolf?

So many questions, but between the three of them, they are bound to find some answers. Surely three isn't always a crowd, especially where love is concerned?

    Tyler’s Alphas

    By Drew Hunt

Tyler Warboys’ stomach grumbled. Had he eaten lunch? What time was it? He pulled his cellphone out of his pocket. Three fifteen? He wrinkled his brow. He’d lost track of time being elbows deep in motherboards, processors, and power supply units in the backroom of The Byte Bar. It got its name because, well…among other things, they dealt in computer memory and the place was previously a bar. His boss and friend, Craig, had insisted on keeping many of the original features of the place when he’d had it converted into a computer repair store.

Just as he was slotting a card reader into a PC tower, Tyler heard the Doctor Who TARDIS sound effect. This indicated the front door of the store had been opened. Craig was a huge Doctor Who fanboy.

Uh, hello? a deep, booming voice asked.

Just a second! Tyler called out.

He stood rapidly, turned, and somehow got a foot caught in the star base of his office chair. In an effort to save himself, he put his arms out. His hands hit the back of the chair, propelling both him and the chair through the swing door into the front of the store. Shit! Straightening, he looked up over the high wooden counter and…gulped. Uh, hi. He knew his voice was several octaves higher than his usual register, but…

Standing just inside the doorway—in fact filling said doorway—was a werewolf. He was easily 6’10" and solidly built. Tyler estimated the creature was at least three hundred pounds of solid muscle. Given all this, it was a safe bet the werewolf was an alpha, the biggest, meanest, baddest, and most powerful type of werewolf. Or at least that was what the conservative anti-werewolf media wanted everyone to believe. Tyler wasn’t so sure they were right. He was a secret fan of the soap Days of Our Werewolves. Okay, he knew the show was unrealistic and the plotlines predictable, but, oh, God, the muscles on those half-naked actors! Although said actors had nothing on the vision of pure masculine power and virility that was currently swaggering, yes, actually swaggering, towards him. The werewolf, despite his size, moved with fluid grace, the muscles under his tight olive drab tee and even tighter black pants seemed to just…flow. The creature’s high and tight haircut screamed military. A fact confirmed when Tyler caught a glimpse of the wolf, anchor, and globe tattoo on the werewolf’s right biceps.

Hi there, the huge werewolf Marine said in a voice that was so deep, it made Tyler’s balls vibrate. My cell. It, like, won’t get Wi-Fi anymore and…

The creature held the device out to Tyler, the large phone seeming tiny in the werewolf’s massive paw. Did werewolves have paws? Uh, yeah, course they did. Dogs had paws, so did wolves, so…

Because werewolves lived in their own areas and patronized their own stores, they rarely entered human-owned businesses. It wasn’t as though there was a law against it or anything, it was just how it was. In the main, werewolves tended to own and run more-muscular, blue collar businesses. The conservative media tried to make people believe that was because werewolves were intellectually inferior to humans, but, again, Tyler wasn’t so sure.

The werewolf frowned and waved the phone in Tyler’s face. Bud?

Tyler knew his mind had been spinning. This happened all the time. He suspected he had ADHD and maybe was also on the autism spectrum, not that he’d gotten any official diagnosis or anything. Focus, Tyler, focus! he told himself. Phone. Wi-Fi. Or rather the lack of it. Sorry, let’s take a look. Have you unlocked it? Does it need a passcode to get in? Do you… Shut up, Tyler! He had a tendency to babble, especially when he was nervous. And this man mountain, Can you refer to a werewolf as a man? definitely made him nervous.

Don’t need a passcode, the towering hulk of muscle said.

Tyler frowned. If a phone gets lost or stolen or…

The werewolf flexed his biceps. Tyler was sure he could hear the T-shirt material complaining under the increased pressure. No one’ll steal it.

Uh, yeah. Tyler swallowed and forced his gaze from the beast’s incredible physique to the phone. Have you made any changes to it recently, added any new apps?

When the man—Tyler decided to think of him as such—didn’t say anything, Tyler looked up from the phone’s screen.

The man’s brow was creased in concentration. Even that looked sexy…dangerous. Tyler had always been told that werewolves were dangerous creatures, prone to acts of violence. Especially alphas. Yes, Tyler did feel some fear, he was
