About this ebook

While exploring ancient catacombs in Egypt, Reeya Rai and her family discover a chamber hidden behind a large wall of rubble. Inside are several mysterious ancient statues. However, there isn’t time to explore the chamber. A large storm is coming that threatens to flood the entire region. Thinking quickly, Reeya and her friends invent a way to transport sandbags and build a wall to protect the catacombs from flooding. When they return, what ancient mysteries will they find hidden in the chamber? And how will they keep Dr. Acker and his daughter, Elsie, from discovering the chamber’s secrets first?

    Hiya, it’s Reeya!

I’m Reeya Rai! I was born in the United States, but my Hindu family is originally from India. My parents are archaeologists. I love to travel along on their adventures all around the world!

    Me with my parents!

I also love to invent things that help my parents with their cool discoveries. I invented Tink! He’s pretty useful to have around.

This is my best friend, Finlay Finnefan, and his parents!

Elsie is definitely NOT a friend. She’s bossy and spoiled. Her dad, Dr. Acker, is a rival of my parents. He’s jealous of their work and often shows up whenever my parents make a big discovery.

Dr. Acker carries an old piece of pottery in a museum while his daughter Elsie follows behind holding a flashlight.
