    Chapter 1

Demel's still buzzing at 1:30 in the morning, but Ellie's already deep asleep.

    Ray Ann didn't sleep.

He's been waiting a long time for this moment.

He put on a hooded white robe and left the hotel alone.

Instead of taking the escalator, he jumped on a levitating drone at the hotel gate, dropped in a hundred Imperial notes, and designated a location on a map displayed on the control panel.

Ten minutes later Ray Ann reached his destination.

He looked up at the various dangerous buildings suspended above him, thinking that if Ellie were there, she would be asking questions that he could never have imagined.

As he walked along the dark, dirty narrow alleys, he would occasionally see drunks lying in the depths, or perhaps fat sheep that had just been robbed.

The alley was full of pawnshops, big and small, and Rayan walked all the way to the end.

At the end of the alley, only two of the sign light boxes in front of the pawnshop were still lit, one was big and the other was Dang.

As he walked in, a half-bald uncle sat behind the counter and looked up and asked him, Welcome to Chase Pawn, would you like to redeem or pawn?

Redemption. Through the tempered glass case, Ray Ann could see the uncle sitting cross-legged in a chair, one hand picking at his foot, the other hand pressing on the reading board, reading the same thing as Allie's hobby, a dirty magazine.

The uncle did not lift his head, Number?

    10443167.

HMM. The uncle clicked on his shoed foot, his chair slid to the left, and he crouched for a moment in front of a desktop computer he could sell as an antique. 10443167 is that right? The current period has passed one year and three months, the redemption interest plus principal is 4012.34 Imperial dollars, do you want to pay Imperial dollars or federal dollars? The exchange rate between Imperial and Federal is...

Just pay the Empire money! Rayan pays.

The uncle counted the money, walked to the other side of the counter, half bent his right eye to a safe, 10443167, redeem.

A few seconds later, a small black metal box was beamed out of the safe.

The uncle handed the box to Lei 'an, Thank you for patronizing Chase.

Ray Ann walked out of the alley, hopped on a drone again, picked his destination, and opened the box.

The box was small, containing an A32 handheld radium weapon, a large stack of Imperial and Federation coins, several wristbands with identification numbers, both Imperial and Federation citizens, each of them authentic.

In addition, there is a black card.

The card was printed in dark gold letters with the final destination he was going to tonight, the Jewel Casino.

This is a VIP card to enter the Jewel Casino.

The other big business in Liberty City is the casino.

Casinos can be found everywhere, from the dark, narrow streets to the neat main thoroughfares.

These casinos, large and small, provide the excitement of the most frequent visitors to Liberty City, the space pirates, and there is no shortage of beautiful women in the casino.

Surrounded by beautiful women and wine, enjoying the thrill of spending money, it's not long before most of the pirates find that the money they fought for has turned into chips, tinkling into the pockets of the old casino, and they are once again empty. But instead of immediately evicting a guest who has lost all his fortune, the casino owners of Liberty City serve a meal to a less fortunate guest, ask if they want to do business, and offer information to set them up.

So the pirates set out again, perhaps buying some new weapons on credit from the casino, and soon after, they took the money and goods, sold them at the casino, and played with a few.

The casino in Liberty City is a place where pirates gather intelligence, recruit companions, buy weapons, sell and fence stolen goods.

In Liberty, if Jewel thinks it's number two, no casino can claim to be number one.

But from the outside, it looks more like a fortress than any other shiny casino.

There are no pretty, scantily clad greeters at its door, but four heavily armed men in dark helmets who, as guests approach, hear not a gallant welcome but a buzz as neat radium-light weapons buffer their energy.

Ray Ann calmly handed the card to a guard, and the card made a soft drip sound on the guard's synthetic modified hand.

Welcome to Jewel Casino again! He saluted Ray Ann. Please give us your weapons for the time being.

Rayan took the weapon out of his arms and gave it to him, and the casino's suspended door slowly rose, the dark gold light looming behind the door.

Treasure Casino, like the legendary dragon castle, once you enter, it is like entering a dream, it is difficult to distinguish between day and night or the passage of time.

The walls of the Treasure Casino are decorated in the very old way, with a varnished teak board, which is then topped with layers of gold paint containing gold leaf. The dome of the casino hall hangs a huge chandelier, different from the crystal chandelier in other places, each bead on the lamp is translucent, the light from the waterfall of tassel beads refracted, shining on the wall, more resplenent, but the light is not bright, like from a layer of thick smoke revealed, into a dense dark gold.

In addition to this huge crystal chandelier, the casino's other light source comes from a small chandelier above each gaming table. The chandelier is exactly the same as the chandelier on the dome, only much smaller.

The maids walking between the tables were dressed in dark gold robes, the sides of which were slit almost to the waist, each of them wearing a high bun with a long gold pin in the bun, and the makeup was not different, and if you did not look closely in this dim and confused light, you would think that they all looked the same.

All the collectors are beautiful women, too, with heavy makeup, but their clothes are more revealing, exposing their right shoulders, and some of the senior collectors have blue and purple tattoos of caracal coiling dragons on their shoulders, some are in the clouds, and some are in the water.

    Crisis lurks, fragrance floats.

Rayan exchanged the gambling money stored in the card for some chips and sat down at a cold table.

The dealer gave him a wink, What do you want to play?

    Size.

Very good play, do you want to bet big or small?

    Big.

The lotus official smiled and shook his dice cup.

He bet and smiled, knowing he would soon be invited to a room on the second floor.

A few minutes later, there was no room for more people at Ray Ann's table, and the gamblers stood behind him and shouted excitedly, Big! Huge! Huge! Huge! Then they cheered together, Yes! Big again!

    It's been 13 in a row.

The dealer's coquetty smile was long gone, and beads of sweat were oozing from her sideburns, after she had secretly informed the supervisor a few minutes earlier.

She couldn't tell when the guest sitting opposite her had done something wrong. She had been at Jewel for more than three years and had never driven thirteen in a row.

The pile of chips in front of Ray Ann collapsed as the gamblers cheered.

At this time, two beautiful women in silver robes stood behind him, Sir, do you want to play in the VIP room?

Of course. He stood up, casually grabbed a handful of chips in front of the dealer, for you.

Jewel has only one room on the second floor.

In other words, this floor is a room.

There were layers of light purple gauze and pearl curtains hanging in the room, and silk embroidered screens and satin cushions were placed between the heavy gauze. Some beauties sat or lay on the cushions, some poured wine and drank themselves, and several people sat together to play Musical Instruments. These beauties are much cooler dressed than the ladies downstairs.

If Ellie's idea of beauty is anything to go by, their clothes must be beautiful.

These beauties have nothing on their bodies, or they wear huge jewel-encrusted necklaces, or they are freely draped in veil, and the only thing that can be called clothing is a metallic belt that hangs from their waist and hip, with a layer of thin veil on the front and back of the belt, and their long white legs are barely visible when they move. They smiled languidly when they saw Rayan.

Lei 'an, led by the two silver-robed ladies, zigzagged between layer after layer of gauze curtains and group after group of beauties, smelling an increasingly strong spicy aroma.

Silvery lady-in-waiting pulled up the smoky veil in front of them, and several beautiful women in golden bikinis sat around an excessively fat man on a soft bed of brocade.

The man, who looked more like a giant toad than a human being, had a cigar in his right hand and grinned at Rayan. Distinguished guest, will you remove your hood and show us your real face?

Of course. Ray Ann laughed and took off his hood, and the man, fat as a big toad, immediately exclaimed, and with his exclamation there was a neat tugging of the bolt. After the layers of light gauze curtain, I do not know how many fully armed guards lie in ambush, only waiting for the order can happily blow Lei 'an into slag.

Rayan raised his hands and smiled. Calm down, Jabba!

Jabba snorted and laughed. Look, look who's here. The most wanted man in the Empire. He made a gesture, and immediately two beauties moved chairs behind Ray Ann.

Ray Ann sat down, Jabba threw a cigar with a wave, Ray Ann caught it with his right hand, and the beauty behind him quickly cut the cigar with a cigar cutter, and another beauty immediately lit the cigar with a lighter.

Jabba smiled. You didn't come here today just to take old Jabba's money?

Ray Ann puffed purple gray smoke, Of course not. I'm asking you to act as an intermediary and put me in touch with a few people.

'Who? Jabba's fat body leaned forward.

Ray Ann said quietly, Wright and Saul.

Ha! Jabba grinned. Are you going to start again? As far as I know, after you disappeared, the resistance forces in Suranto were leaderless, and Leiter and Thor fell out, and now each leads a resistance army hiding in the Suranto sphere, from time to time, and the two gangs have fought each other a few times, both claiming that they are the true righteous forces who will save the people from the fire and fire, and fighting over your position as leader."

He glanced at Ray Ann here, I can inform them for you, but maybe they will come and fight because they want to kill you! Well, then, why don't I just hand you over to the Imperial Army? The assassination of the former consul was your work, wasn't it? But it was blamed on the Federation, and because of that, the Federation secretly hunted you... You are a mountain of gold, Ray Ann!"

Jabba cocked the tail finger of his left hand, and two masked guards with short blunderbusses flashed up behind him, pointing their blunderbusses directly at Rayan.

Ray Ann looked at the ash from the cigar in his left hand. I prefer the Montecorisor you used to smoke years ago to the spicy Kuban.

He smiled at Jabba and waved his right sleeve.

Bang bang -- two small sounds in succession.

When the gun rang out, Ray Ann suddenly turned backward with people and chairs, and seemed to be hit.

But the guards have been repeatedly sent several times, flying radium light brought up by high temperature to produce high-speed airflow, the light gauze and bead curtain excited to float up. The fragments of purple tulle fell like petals blown away by the wind, and then scattered with the broken bead curtain.

A low shriek came from the beauties around Jabba.

Neither on the overturned chair, nor behind the curtain that gradually stopped swinging, there was no Ray Ann's shadow.

Jabba was so frightened that he looked so sharply back to his right that there was a slight sound in his fat neck, which was covered with layers of fat at the back of his neck.

Then he heard a slight noise, and before he could make out what it was, he saw, with a great deal of anxiety and anger, a red dot in the middle of the brow of a beautiful woman standing to his right.

    Fell for it.

Jabba looked up in chagrin. Ray Ann smiled and sat on the chandelier hanging from the center of the room. In his right hand, he held a small gray rectangular box. The red light at one end of the box flashed as the chandelier swayed, and the light at the other end was shining on the beauty's brow.

I didn't mean to offend this beautiful woman. Ray Ann saluted the beautiful woman gracefully.

Jabba thought the smile on Rayan's face was so hateful that he shouted, Everybody drop your weapons! Stand down at once!

With a slight sound of footsteps, the red light disappeared.

The beauty whose life was on the line not long ago also smiled, she gently brushed the cloud of black hair on the white shoulders, smiled at Lei 'an, I wonder when you found me.

Ray Ann jumped from the chandelier, his chair had been set up, he sat down calmly, did not answer her question, but looked at Jabba, Help me contact Leiter and Saul. Tell them to meet me here at sunrise next time in Liberty City. Is that OK?"

Jabba snorted. I'll contact them, but I don't care if they come.

Ray Ann took out the little box, clicked it, reignited the cigar Jabba had given him a while ago, and took a slow drag. Sure. Next time please prepare some really good cigars.

He stood up, threw the little box in his hand to Jabba, and said to the dark-haired beauty who was still standing behind Jabba, Jabba these beauties are all his slaves, as beautiful as silk flowers, and you are, of course, his honored guest.

    He smiled and turned away.

After the hateful guy left, Jabba angrily threw the small box to the ground, cheated, it is not a radium light weapon, it is just a pulsed light lighter.

The brunette beauty who had been standing behind him shook her head slightly. He could have killed me, too.

Mufei, you... Your hair... Seeing her originally high bunched black hair now draped over his shoulders, Jabba froze for a moment, patted his head with his fat palm, Ow - He struggled to turn his fat body, looking down at the brocade carpet in front of Mu Fei. A gold rose-shaped hair ring lay there, neatly broken down the middle.

The sound was the sound of her gold hair ring being cut off.

Mu Fei raised his eyebrows to look at the bead chandelier, I don't know what weapons he used. It must have been modified, or it wouldn't have passed your humanoid detectors."

Well - said Jabba disapprovingly, "how can that
