Abhilash Fraizer
Abhilash Fraizer is a multi-award-winning Indian writer, poet, novelist, journalist and advertising copy writer, hailing from Kerala. A Master in English Literature, Abhilash has authored 14 books and has written numerous poems and articles for various international and Indian journals. His renowned works include Father, a collection of poems, The End of Wars, a novel and Everlasting Things are Incomplete, a collection of poems. He was an Indian delegate to Panorama International Literature Festival 2024, held in Greece. His latest book ‘Father’ won Panorama International Literature Special Jury Award. He lives in Kerala, a South Indian state, with his wife Sunitha and two sons Ezek and Izan.

How does it feel
Sitting lonely in the rain?
How does it feel
To bereave the Beloved,
– God and Master –
And sit lonely in the rain?
The rain that began
At the hour of His dreadful death,
Has not yet stopped;
It keeps weeping all through the night,
Just as my bereaved soul.
Do you know how it feels
To lose God?
A feeling from time immemorial,
Starting from the days of Adam
In the Paradise that was lost!
Alas!
Paradise keeps losing
Time and again in history.
And the forlorn Adam
Keeps
