The night on August 31, 1997 Diana died. Diana was killed in a vehicle crash at the Pont d'Alma tunnel in Paris. Diana was travelling with her back in an automobile alongside Dodi Al-Fayed (son of billionaire Mohamed Al-Fayed). The front seat was occupied by the bodyguard Trevor-Rees Jones and the Hotel Ritz's security officer, Henri Paul. Henri Paul who was trying to escape the paparazzi vehicles as well as motorcycles who were following the car. The vehicle crashed into the support column that was in the tunnel and then all except Jones suffered fatal injuries.
Her passing at 36 led to a global expression of sorrow.

DNA samples, verified by an examination of samples given by Paul's parents, established that the blood samples with the highest levels of alcohol were those of Henri Paul.
French officials also performed another examination of the fluid that comes from the sclera (white of the eye). The results showed the same results, but also showed
