El Dr. Hernández, nació en 1973 y creció en Ensanche Julia, ciudad de Santiago, República Dominicana. Obtuvo Medalla de Honor y fue licenciado en Ciencias Físicas y Matemáticas en el Liceo Ulises Francisco Espaillat en 1990. Estaba interesado en ayudar a otros, muy temprano en su vida y fue elegido vicepresidente del club Rotaract Santiago Apóstol la Esperanza de rotary Internacional durante sus años de escuela secundaria.Se licenció en Medicina en la Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), graduándose en 1996. Fue asistente de profesor en la Escuela de Medicina de PUCMM de 1996 a 1998.La Presidencia de la República Dominicana lo seleccionó como uno de los diez jóvenes más talentosos de la ciudad de Santiago en 1998. Ha sido miembro de organizaciones, asociaciones y sociedades profesionales que incluyen la Asociación Médica Americana (AMA), la Asociación Americana de Psiquiatría (APA), la Asociación Médica Dominicana (DMA), Inc. de Nueva York, la Mesa Redonda Dominico Americana (DNAR), Orden Rosacruz para las Américas (AMORC) y las logias de la ciudad de New York, La fraternidad 387 y Juan Pablo Duarte.Fue elegido presidente de la Asociación Médica Dominicana (DMA) 2007-08 y reelegido 2009-10. Actualmente es presidente de la junta directiva de DMA. En su compromiso de ayudar a otros médicos necesitados y servir a la comunidad hispana, ha surgido como una de las voces más influyentes y poderosas de la DMA, que ha transformado positivamente con su arduo trabajo e ideas visionarias durante los últimos dieciocho años.Como psiquiatra, el Dr. Hernández continúa sirviendo a la comunidad dominicana. Ha ganado prestigio por su liderazgo superior en la comunidad hispana siendo reconocido por el programa televisivo “Día a Día” de Telemundo International en 2007, “Herencia Hispana” por la parada Dominicana del Bronx” y “el escudo de oro dominicano” en 2011. Aparece en el libro “100 Lideres dominicanos en New York” publicado en 2011. También ha sido recipiente de múltiples citaciones, reconocimientos y premios dentro de los que se destacan, citaciones de asambleístas, concejales y congresistas dominicanos de Manhattan y los premios latinos ilustres 2018, Instituto Duartiano y Medicoop, entre otros. El Dr. Hernández, ha publicado muchos artículos de interés para la comunidad local e internacional.El galeno, tiene su práctica privada de psiquiatría, Global Psychiatric Services (GPS) en el condado de Manhattan, en la ciudad de Nueva York desde hace casi una década.Durante su tiempo libre, le gusta jugar ajedrez; también disfruta pintar, la poesía y el misticismo. Se celebra en New york, anualmente el torneo abierto de ajedrez que lleva su nombre desde el año 2015. Su amor por el arte lo ha hecho incursionar como actor y productor ejecutivo en siete corto metrajes y películas, así como también en obra de teatro de la comunidad. Algunos de sus poemas han sido transformados en canciones dentro de los que se destacan “Silencio Azul”, “Qué se siente” “Ciudadano del mundo” y el “Himno al ajedrez”.Es padre de sus dos amados hijos, Elmer Akhenaton y Armani Enoch, quienes son su inspiración, producto de la relación con su adorada esposa Olga Bourdierd, quien es su soporte y bendición. Su amada madre Juana Hernández, su querida hermana Rafaelina Hernández, y su fallecido padre, son su motivación. Todos, le dan la fuerza y el amor para servir a los demás.
