Prologue
Dear Reader,
I hope you enjoy this story and that you may be able to capture for yourself something of the essence of the character I have tried to put down in this endeavor.
Have you ever met a person in your life that you could never quite forget? Someone so singular that even after they are gone from this life, they seem to infiltrate your awareness in little ways through the years. Perhaps they don’t have physical descendants to carry themselves on in time, but somehow their aura never quite allows them to disappear.
Sometimes you fear that unless you keep their essence alive through recounting to others something of who they were, they may just vanish forever. But, even so, they return to you…Perhaps another person may not be open to appreciate your attachment to them, but you know that in little moments they will continue to give meaning to your life.

).
Introduction to our character would probably best be seen through the lens of a candle-illuminated glass of wine (or a Manhattan as our character would have enjoyed). Or if you are so inclined, through the
