Dedication
On the Edge is for my father, Edward Maurice Arons, who never lived to see me fulfil my dream of becoming a poet. But, sitting by his knee at the age of six, listening to him play the mandolin and sing, On the Road to Mandalay, by Rudyard Kipling, was the beginning of a lifelong love affair with poetry. Each poem, Father, in some way, reflects my love for you and my gratitude.
