- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The collected novellas have been sitting in my TBR on my iPad for … years? And after my recent re-read binge of all the novels, I thought I’d knock these out too. They’re all about what you’d expect from a novella; too short to get into any character development or conflict, just short, happy little mysteries with tidy endings, but they’re fun to read and one or two loose ends from the main body of the series are wrapped up.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This novella tells about Julia and Brisbane's Midsummer wedding. Having turned over the arrangements to her sisters, the plans for the ceremony are rapidly getting out of control. Between Brisbane's deaf and outrageous great-uncle who happens to be a Scottish duke and his gypsy aunt who deeply resents that he has more gypsy powers than she does, Brisbane's side of the family adds a lot to the chaos that is already the March family. Throw in a fire and a jewel thief trying to recover stolen loot and you have a madcap adventure.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Lady Julia and Brisbane are just days away from being married when a figure from their past returns to threaten their chance of having any future at all. This novella, while published after the fourth and fifth Lady Julia Grey novels falls into the timeline between books 3 and 4. While there's some highly enjoyable Julia and Brisbane cuteness, for a 50 page novella there's an awful lot of re-hashing of events from the three previous novels. Not up to the standard of the first three books in the series, it's a fine read if you're a completist but not a necessary read otherwise.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was a nice little novella that I read out of sequence, but still enjoyed. The wedding of Julia Gray and Nicholas Brisbane was as unconventional as the couple. It was a quick, fun read.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Nice little tidbit of the events surrounding the wedding of Lady Julia and Brisbane. The author managed to include a dose of humor throughout. I liked it and a quick read.
