There was only one gay bar in the small town of Larson Creek in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. It was very uncommon for a town that size and geographical area to have a gay bar. If any local gay men from Larson Creek went to the bar it was late at night so nobody would recognize them. The bartender came three nights per week from Denver, which is about fifty miles from Larson and opened the bar for only a few hours. Nobody knew who the owner was. There were rumors, someone bought about one hundred square miles of land up in the Rockies. He was supposedly looking to buy more property in Larson Creek and people were assuming he could be the owner. But nobody met that imaginary person.

ROB AND HIS FRIEND Ray were the only two guys in town who were openly gay and went to the bar without having any shame. They both didn't care what people were thinking or talking about them.

One Wednesday afternoon Rob saw a sign hanging outside the bar. He stopped and got out of his car to read it.

Singles Night this Saturday at 10 pm.

No cover for singles. Drinks 3 for 1.

Damn, they really wanna get everybody fucked up, Rob was thinking.

He told Ray about it who also liked the idea of going.

Ray was already at the bar, when Rob got there around 10.30pm. Ray was talking to the bartender when Rob was joining them.

The bartender came closer and whispered to Rob and Ray :
