Blame it on the Moon - Marilyn Baron
I need to know where you’ve been all these years. Where did you go? And I want the truth.
"How many times do I have to tell you? The truth is I walked outside one night to see the Blood Moon and when I came back in, fifty minutes later, everything was different. Even the furniture and the kitchen and the walls. You let her have yellow walls. And she has my white kitchen. I swear, I didn’t leave this house. I never went anywhere."
How do you expect me to believe that? And I don’t buy the story that you were abducted by aliens.
I keep telling you. I don’t know what happened. I can’t explain it.
Petra faced her husband. It sure didn’t take you long to replace me. We’ve been married almost fifty years, and I’m gone for one minute and you jump into bed with someone else. We’re still married, and this is my house, too.
Petra, you were gone for almost three years. We thought you were dead.
Well, you can see that I’m not. I’m not a ghost. And now, what, you want a divorce?
Alex pulled his hand through his hair. I don’t know what I want. I’m just getting used to the fact that you’re alive. I need some time to adjust.
So do I. Are you at least happy I’m here?
Alex shrugged. I don’t know how I feel.
But you’re going to check into the hotel with that woman.
Her name is Melanie. And yes, we’ll give you your space while we decide what to do.
My space? I live here and I am not leaving, so what is there left to decide?
