Jameel Shaheed, Born May 18, 1993, in Charlotte, NC, yet Matthews, NC has been his home for the majority of his life. A precocious individual, yet a devoted student of the mystical, an avid embracer of nature, and an astute observer of the things most individuals miss. He wrote his first book "Tears of The Dragon" in 2019, and which insights led to his self-proclaimed Magnum Opus "El Oasis del Dragón". The Event

At the onset of any great adventure, there's typically an event or occasion that spurs the hero into action. A set of conditions that requires the individual to break his social programming and begin to ask questions that result in a vastly different perspective.

This shift in perspective, and ultimately behavior, has been coined as awakening for those who walk the spiritual path. Yet, this transformative process is defined by the impetus that catalyzed its undertaking.

For the event itself holds the keys to the language of its expression, as well as the intangible qualities of the aspirant’s life work. In this chapter, I will detail the indications of such an event in both my personal life and the objective world, as well as highlight the idiosyncrasies of the event in both spiritual text and popular culture.

I express it as a singular event for truly it is at a single moment when one's world is, for lack of a better term, shifted upside down. Yet in actuality, these events happen periodically within the aspirant’s journey after the initial event has been accepted as pertinent to their cosmic unfolding.

Some hold more weight than others, yet each is instrumental to the aspirant's transformation. The transformation from an individual confined by the invisible cosmic forces to an individual liberated by their balance, and a conductor of their invisible rifts throughout society.

Personally, I have been no stranger to this meticulous and at times grueling iterative refining process. It is a process that takes an immeasurable amount of patience, compassion, and most importantly, objectivity.

Patience is required due to the dispassionate nature of eternity and its manifestation. A continual balance between time on your hands, and time on your side. Compassion is the guiding light within this landscape of both wonder and ambiguity.

Compassion for others is a means to build a bridge between hearts, and compassion for the self when compassion feels impossible due to the forces one is confronted with. Lastly, objectivity is the scalpel with which one can navigate the terrain with both tact and empathy.

It is the ability to observe the cosmic order with a telescopic and microscopic lens. The only way to synthesize the macro and micro in a dance of symphonic perfection.

I have detailed this event in many ways throughout the works I have been blessed to author. The same event is illustrated in various ways to communicate its intangible qualities to readers, and or listeners of varying backgrounds.

In truth, it is the only thing I draw from in my creative process for in many ways, it's the only thing that has ever happened. To me, and to mankind throughout history.

If one were to conduct an audit on the historical figures throughout mankind's evolution one would invariably notice an abundantly clear trend. The only constant within humanity’s dynamic evolution has been individuals who have encountered this event, and have conspired with the cosmos to shape their lives accordingly.

Each individual faces the same challenges, encounters the same allies, and expresses the same message. How each individual positions themselves within the collective is determined by the event itself, as well as the needs of the collective at large.

Yet, with it being the only constant, it is fair to conclude it is the only thing that has, or will ever happen within human existence. Everything in between as Marcus Aurelius has so eloquently stated, is mere opinion.

The opening quote of this book by occultist Paschal Beverly Randolph serves as the thesis of this work, as well as a testament to the abundance of the said event throughout history and the objective world. Taking into account the time period this book is being written, spiritual ideology is becoming commonplace within the discussions of fellow human beings.

From aliens to vampires, to witches, to enlightened gurus of the new age, spirituality has become a centerpiece of the collective identity. And though this is by all means a positive in regards to a conscious planet, it also must be navigated carefully as a means to not become subject to
