About this ebook

We are not alone in the universe! Yet one would never believe that first contact with an alien race would actually be with Neanderthals, who walked our planet long ago. Plenteriens, an ancient alien civilization, understood the Neanderthals were headed for sure extinction and went against the laws of the Tri-Galaxy Alliance by sending a fleet of starships with the sole purpose of capturing half the remaining population of Neanderthals to enslave for use in their own world. Over the millennia, the Neanderthals, with the help of genetic engineering, have taken control of their new planet and now have decided to reclaim Earth as well for their own.

With the aid of strange new friends from far away, Johnathan Feverstein, a lonely down-and-out apple farmer, and seven others, all of whom come from different walks of life yet have one very special thing in common, begin to form the most secretive elite fighting force unknown to humankind, Earth Force.

Earth Force, using new alien technology, must face up against the genetically improved Neanderthals using their own technology, creating confrontations Earth Force must overcome, leading up to an unexpected outcome!

    About the Author

    Prologue

There are many theories out there suggesting why the Neanderthal population of our planet became extinct. One is that the environment proved too difficult for them and their numbers were diminished due to lack of food sources. Another is that when Homo sapiens entered the picture, the Neanderthals were not able to compete with them, and so their numbers diminished until they disappeared from the face of the Earth, and still another is that the Neanderthals were wiped out due to an enormous volcanic eruption in what is now Europe, where a vast number of the Neanderthal population lived.

There is one more theory that up until recent decades seemed too far-fetched to be true, but now there is a scientific community that believes and even has provided reasonable evidence to support the belief that our planet has been visited in the past by alien beings from other planets. Some scientists even suggest that aliens may have mingled into some of the early civilizations of our planet and some of the aliens were actually thought of and considered to be gods. History has shown that many of the great structures built thousands of years ago must have had some type of intervention by one or more groups of what can only be alien beings since these civilizations of long ago did not possess the technology or the needed tools and equipment to create these structures. Perhaps some of these ancient alien astronauts, as they are called by those who believe in them today, actually decided to help with the building of these structures and offered both their knowledge and technology. It is after all a very logical assumption.

There is one other reason why ancient aliens may have visited our young planet. Although it may not be the only reason why the Neanderthal population became extinct, it in all probability quickened the process for their extinction here on Earth.

Thousands of years ago a Plenterien raid occurred in the Dextrillium star system on the third planet of the Pushnacom solar system, which we now call Earth. It was not a raid fueled by the lust of the conquering spirit, which is not unheard of throughout the galaxies. This raid was designed for one purpose only. The planet that the Plenteriens were interested in was inhabited by two primitive species of what we call humanoid life forms. One has walked the planet for over two hundred thousand years, and one was much newer to the planet yet seemed to be more capable of adapting to the many changes that encompass the development of young oxygen- and water-rich planets.

The Plenteriens were an advanced civilization that had been traveling through the galaxies long before both these species have even begun walking our planet. The problem that the Plenteriens were encountering is that they have turned into a race of people who have become too reliant on the servitude division of their technology, so much in fact that when the technology, which today's humans would call a form of artificial intelligence, understood the concept of self-awareness, it became necessary for the Plenteriens to terminate the technology before it would have a chance to rebel and perhaps even find a means to taking control of their planet. Now the Plenteriens needed to locate a species that could survive in their oxygen-rich atmosphere and was somewhat intelligent enough to learn simple commands to do their bidding. In other words, they were looking to create a slave force for their planet using one of the two species from the young planet now called Earth by its surviving species, who now call themselves humans.

    Chapter 1

    In the beginning

It was a typical warm season day in the area of our world, which today would be considered Eastern Europe. A group of seven Neanderthal youths, four males and three females, were sitting in a circle on the back side of a hill that bordered their clan's warm season residence. Each year when the cold season ends, the clan of the Gray Wolf would leave their cave in the mountainous region to spend the warm season near a large body of water. The water was very clear for drinking and full of life with many different species of fish that over the centuries the Neanderthals have learned to catch and use as a food source. Because they were unable to build shelters that could survive the fury of the winter months, each fall before the first snow, they would pack up their belongings and return to the cave that the Gray Wolf clan lived in. This routine had been repeated over the years for longer than any living clan member could remember.

The youths were communicating with each other in a very primitive manner. What words they used were relatively simple, and they replied a great deal on the movements of their hands and other body parts for getting their messages across to each other. The male who called himself Tonknuk was speaking. He was the oldest of the group and was without question the alpha male of all the young males of the clan. He had the typical Neanderthal features consistent with all but two of his fellow clan members. Brown hair and eyes, a wide nose and angled cheekbones, along with prominent eyebrow ridges. These features along with his short and stocky build gave him what today's humans would consider a caveman-like appearance.

Just like all his fellow clan members, his garments were of the simplest form, most of which were made out of the hides of the quick running creatures they hunted that fed off the grasslands around the lake and the round-horned creatures that climbed up and down the mountainous region with such ease. Being that it was the warm season, he wore a skin around his waist similar to a skirt, which was made out of the hide of the swiftest white tail animal in the region. The handmade garment ended just above his knees, and it was kept from falling by one strap attached in the front and rear of the top of the skirt, which hung over his left shoulder.

The strap was attached with the use of sharp fish bones, much like someone would use a pushpin today. For both protection and hunting, he had lying by his side an ax-like weapon made out of a stone attached to a stick with the use of tree sap and slices of animal hide from the flat-nosed creatures who seem to enjoy lying in the mud. Also at his side was a long stick with a jagged rock at its tip, creating a point which he was able to thrust into the flat-nosed creatures with somewhat reasonable success.

This past cold season was almost like every other cold season Tonknuk could remember; However, just before the clan left their cave, Tonknuk's father as usual took him to a wall near the back of the cave. As always lying on the cave floor next to the wall were two rocks. One rock was round, and the other came to a point. This time seemed different to Tonknuk because his father picked up the rocks with a big smile on his face. In the past, his father using the two stones would chip a simple vertical line in the wall next to the others he chipped. Although he could not count, he knew enough to use the fingers on his hand to cluster these lines into three groups of five.

His father motioned to Tonknuk how to place the pointed stone on the surface of the wall and hit it with the round stone. Tonknuk gave his father a funny look since he did watch him chip the previous lines in the past. His father smirked back at him, handed him the stones, and using the coarse nail on the index finger of his right hand, marked a horizontal line on the soft stone wall next to the vertical lines. Tonknuk immediately took the stone tools and began to chip at the wall. Compared to the rocks in his hand, the wall was quite soft, and the chipping seemed to take no time at all to complete. His father seemed pleased by the smile on his face and took the rocks from Tonknuk's hands and again placed them on the cave's floor up against the wall.

He turned back toward Tonknuk and took his left hand and placed it under the first group of five slashes chipped on the wall and pointed to each finger and slash on the wall. He then did the same thing with Tonknuk's right hand with the second group of slashes. Tonknuk understood like the rest of the young males in the clan following their fathers' footsteps that each slash represented one seasonal cycle of their life.

Tonknuk's father, looking at the last five slashes in the stone, pointed at each one of them and then pointed to a part of Tonknuk's face each time after. Each slash represented a seasonal cycle, but it also represented a greater knowledge of how the clan's adult males functioned together as a whole. After the first slash, he pointed to Tonknuk's nose indicating how they must be able to use the sense of smell to help in the hunting of the game that their clan relies on to survive. His father then pointed to two slashes with each index finger at the same time and then to Tonknuk's ears with each finger, expressing in the importance of listening to the different sounds that each of the different types of game make that they hunt. He then pointed to the final two slashes of the group in the same way and gently touched Tonknuk's eyes. He quickly cupped his hands over his own eyes and slowly spread his two middle fingers covering both eyes in an attempt to show Tonknuk the importance of protecting his eyes throughout his life. For it would mean sure death for any Neanderthal to lose their sense of sight.

Finally, Tonknuk's father uncovered his eyes and smiled as he pointed to the last slash on the wall that Tonknuk chipped. He then touched his fingertips to his lips, and as he pulled his hand away from his mouth, he opened it widely in an explosive manner and proceeded to touch Tonknuk's lips with his index finger. Being an adult, Tonknuk's father had the right to speak up at any time, even while being part of a hunting party with the clan's adult males, and now Tonknuk will have this right. This ability is especially important when a big group of males are planning to hunt the grumms, which were incredibly large, wide-eared, hairy, long-nosed creatures. Every body part, including the bones of these animals, are used in order to help the clan get through the ice-cold seasons.

Tonknuk understood the actions of his father and touched his lips and then his father's lips in recognition of the events that just took place. During the coming fall hunting season, Tonknuk would join the hunting party as an adult. He would from that point on be considered an adult male of the clan and enjoy all the privileges that accompanied his soon-to-be new status.

The warm season was somewhat uneventful, but now he had lived sixteen cycles of the seasons and now he would be considered an adult male, and it was time to relay this change of his status in the clan to the group, which he spent much of his childhood with. He stood up and walked to the middle of the circle and pointed to the nearby trees. He raised both hands over his head and made a floating motion with them as he brought them slowly to the ground. This was his way of telling the group that the leaves of the trees would soon be falling indicating the cold season would soon be at hand. He then picked up his weapons, first his ax-like tool, and demonstrated how he would kill by swinging it hard and snapping a branch in half, lying an arm's length away in front of his feet. He then picked up his rock-tipped stick and acted as if he was thrusting it into prey. Finally, he put the tip of his fingers of his right hand to his lips opened his hand and pulled it away from his mouth. By performing this action, he showed the others that he would not only hunt with the other adult males of the clan but also be able to speak as an adult in the clan. His new status within the clan would be a hunter, and when the leaves start falling, he would start to gather as much food as possible for the clan in order to make it through the coming long cold winter. The clan has already come to understand that meat left out in the ice-cold temperatures can be eaten with no ill effects when thawed out over an open fire. Their main concern as always would be to keep the meat concealed from the many scavengers that roamed the mountainous region.

When Tonknuk was reasonably sure he got his point across to the group, it was time to switch to the next and equally important topic. This one however, he believed would create a problem with at least one of the other males in the group. It was time for him to pick a mate, and he knew his choice of the three females of the group would not be easy for Chumbak to accept. Chumbak was probably one full seasonal cycle younger than Tonknuk, but not even he knew for sure. He was the young male child of a strange one who wandered into the clan's summer residence when Chumbak was no more than three or four cycles of the seasons. Chumbak could still remember his mother being killed by a large-toothed cat with one swipe across her throat with its huge claw. His father as well was fatally injured by the big cat but managed to carry Chumbak while dragging himself into the village, which he came across out of pure luck just before dying.

Chumbak looked quite different from the rest of the clan because he was the child of one of the strange ones who started migrating into the land of the Neanderthals not more than three or four life spans ago. His hair was as dark as the night, yet his eyes were the color of the sky. He stood almost a hand's length taller than Tonknuk and had much slimmer features with the most obvious feature being a lack of the prominent brow ridges, which all the Neanderthals had. He also showed a much quicker ability to learn the skills that males must know in order to leave their family group to go out and start their own family group. The weapons at his side although similar, were put together with much more thought. His ax-type tool's head had a double edge made out of stone, which he shaped with the use of larger harder stones. He split the top of the tool's handle and slid the stone head into the handle, which provided more stability when swinging the weapon. He also managed to put a pointed stone flake tip on the edge of his throwing stick. It was both sharper and lighter than the stones the Neanderthal used and allowed for throwing the weapon from a distance. When hunting for fish on the edge of the lake, the stone tip, when pierced through the body of a fish, would prevent the fish from sliding off the tip of the stick. It also provided easier kills when hunting the small long-eared hopping creatures that housed themselves in holes deep underground. His intelligence over the years has shown many times to make up for the lack of muscle on his thin frame. Even though Chumbak was different from the clan members, an adult female who lost her mate and a male child to illness a year earlier took Chumbak in as her own. This was frowned upon by the rest of the clan at first, but they soon learned to accept him.

Tonknuk had decided to choose Natara, a female who seemed to have features similar to both the Neanderthals and Chumbak. Like Chumbak, she was one cycle of the seasons younger than Tonknuk. Because Chumbak and Natara possessed similar features, they played together very often in their early years. It was expected by many in the clan that the two would become a mated pair when they reached adulthood.

The body of water by the summer village was fed by multiple streams and two small rivers; However, the water that exited the lake at the far end began what turned into a rather large and powerful river. Years ago, just before Natara's mother's status changed to adulthood, she was looking for fish eggs between the rocks along the edge of the great river. She slipped and fell into the river, and the current carried her a very long way down the river. Like all in the clan, she was not able to swim, yet somehow she survived the turmoil of the swift running water and made herself back to land. After taking only a few steps, she collapsed due to pure exhaustion. When she woke up sometime later, she found herself to be a captive of a small group of strange ones.

She figured that they were a small band of hunters, and someway they were able to weave strands of animal hide together, creating a rope and bound both her arms and legs when only one male was there watching over her. The strange ones understood that even though she was a young female Neanderthal. She probably had enough strength to overcome any one of them. The strange ones also understood that they could not let her go since she would probably make it back to her clan, and perhaps they would than become hunted by her clan. Two days past and the hunting party looked like it was finally breaking up camp for good. She believed they will not kill her, or they would have done so already; However, she did not expect what happened next.

The strange ones had no intention of killing her, but they did have something else on their minds. The hunting party has been away from their clan for more days than the number of fingers on their hands and toes on their feet. Males being males and always in the mood for mating, each took turns forcing themselves on Natara's mother. This went on for half the day, and when the sun was falling below the mountainous region she could see in the distance, she finally passed out.

When Natara's mother woke up the following morning, the strange ones were gone. They left her naked and untied and even left her a chunk of meat from one of their kills which would last her three or four new suns. She needed to make it home within that time or the meat would be too rotten to eat, and she had no weapons to hunt even small prey. She put her coverings back on and started the journey up river with the hopes of making it back without becoming prey to any of the wild animals which drink from the river. She feared the large-toothed cat the most but knew if she stayed close to the water if need be, she could jump in and a large-toothed cat, no matter how hungry it was, would never jump in after her.

By the time she made it home, the meat was gone, and she was still sore from the ordeal she been through. The clan members were happy to see her, and although she never tried to communicate what happened to her, it was not difficult to see she went through a dramatic ordeal. Most of the clan members figured it out over the cold season in their cave due to the apparent changes her body was going through, even the younger members understood in the early spring when she gave birth to Natara what must have happen to her. Natara's mother raised her without the help of a mate, and due to their short life expectancy, she was now considered an elder of the clan and would probably not be around for much longer.

Tonknuk started chanting a few simple words over and over again into what seemed to be a song and making certain dancelike movements and gestures that are understood by the clan members as being a mating dance. The three females sitting side by side were first surprise by his actions. The two younger ones realized it could not be meant for them, and Natara was somewhat disturbed since she had no interest in being Tonknuk's mate. She hoped that Chumbak would step in when Tonknuk put his hand out to pull her by his side.

The chanting and dance came to a halt, and as Tonknuk reached out to grab Natara's arm, Chumbak jumped to his feet and grabbed her other arm while shaking his head and repeating the word noma over and over again, which meant no in their simple language. Chumbak pulled her away from Tonknuk and guided her to stand behind him. Once behind him, she placed her hand on Chumbak's shoulder, indicating her intention of wanting to be Chumbak's mate. With rage in his eyes, Tonknuk now had a choice to make, to fight Chumbak, which may be to the death, or choose one of the other females, both of which would probably be mate ready in another one or two seasonal cycles.

Tonknuk staring deeply into Chumbak's eyes, and with an angry tone to his voice, he said to Chumbak junger, and then he started beating his right hand on his chest, which translates to we fight. Chumbak stared back at Tonknuk, simply nodding in acknowledgment. Chumbak picked up his ax-like tool and his stick with the pointed rock tip and walked to an open area away from the rest of the group while never taking his eyes off his soon-to-be opponent. Tonknuk stared at Natara up and down and showed her a little smirk on his face since he knew Chumbak really had little chance of winning this fight. Although he did not want this fight to occur, he did want Natara as his mate, even if it meant the probability of killing one of his closest childhood companions.

Tonknuk slowly walked toward Chumbak with his ax tool in his right hand raised above his head and his thrusting stick in his left hand shaking it back and forth while pointing it at Chumbak. It was not difficult for Chumbak to see the desire in the eyes of Tonknuk to end this fight quickly, and even Chumbak knew he had little hope of defeating Tonknuk. All of a sudden, when Tonknuk was but a few steps away, a strange creature whose length was not much more than the height of a Neanderthal male and an arm's length in width came out of nowhere and flew swiftly between the two of them.

They were both startled by the creature, and as it started to fly around them, they both took a stand of defense against it. Its shape was similar to the that of the stone flake tip on Chumbak's stick but looked shiny and extremely smooth. In fact, it was so shiny that as it kept flying around the two Neanderthal males, they were able to see their reflections on the creature's skin. As the creature flew around them it gave off a funny buzzing chirpy sound, unlike any noise either one of them had ever heard before, and Chumbak thought to himself it was a noise never heard by any other creature in their area as well. The creature then stopped in midair and began lowering itself on the far side of them putting the two males between it and the rest of the group.

It lowered itself to a height equal to Tonknuk's waist and started turning as if it was intending to face the two of them. It suddenly started to give off a glow similar to that of their cooking fires and second by second it was becoming more intense. The two looked at each other with bewilderment, then Tonknuk, fearing the creature would attack, grabbed Chumbak's throwing stick and threw it in an attempt to kill or at least injure the creature. The point of the stick met its target just behind what Tonknuk believed should be the creature's head. The strike of Chumbak's pointed stick would have taken down any other animal Tonknuk had hunted before. Instead throwing it did nothing more than bounce off the strange-looking creature. At this point the creature must have become irritated by Tonknuk's actions, and it began a rocking motion from side to side while its buzzing and chirping noise increased. As the fiery glow being giving off by this creature was becoming more intense, the two of them were able to feel increasing heat as the creature slowly moved closer and closer to them.

Tonknuk had only one thought in his head, which was to kill this strange beast. He raised his ax tool above his head and planned on running at the beast with the expectation of striking it, but at this precise moment, lightning similar to that which occurred during the warm season rain storms came from the underbelly of the creature and struck the throwing stick still lying on the ground. It consumed the stick in a blink of an eye, and all that remained was the charred remains of the hunting tool. Chumbak now stepped in and grabbed his fellow clansman's shoulder and repeated the same words, which Tonknuk heard only a few minutes earlier, noma noma.

Tonknuk lowered his arm and looked with puzzlement on his face at Chumbak, who understood they were no match for this creature.

Unknown to them, the creature was not of their world and its intention was not to harm any of them; in fact, it wanted to move the two males back into the group. By doing so, it would be able to accomplish its intended task, which was to transport this group of youths as well as the rest of their clan and others like them to a mother ship that was out of sight in orbit around their world.

Somehow Chumbak understood after seeing the lightning that if this creature wanted them dead, it could make it happen in an instant. With his right hand on Tonknuk's shoulder and maintaining a strong grip, he attempted to slowly step backward toward the rest of the group. At first Tonknuk resisted but then realized what Chumbak was doing and joined in the retreat.

The creature moved toward them at the same pace the two were moving back toward the group, but it showed no additional effort to express its superiority for killing over them. Although the distance was not more than ten or twelve meters, it took quite some time since they moved carefully and slowly back to the group with the intent of showing no aggression toward the creature.

The group itself was in a state of shock by the events of the past few minutes. The youngest of the females quickly ran away over the hilltop toward the village when the creature first appeared, but Natara along with the other youths were engulfed with the events of the moment. When Tonknuk and Chumbak reached them, Natara quickly stood next to Chumbak's side, an action that still seemed disturbing to Tonknuk by the look upon his face.

At this moment, the strange creature slowly raised a few meters above them and began to circle around them. Round and round it went to a point where it was circling faster than any of them could follow. This action created a reddish electronic wall around the group, and although they were able to see through it, no one dared try to escape it. The creature then moved directly overhead, and the reddish barrier seemed to follow it. As it did, it created an umbrella effect and in a flash of an eye, a blinding light seemed to shoot out from the top of the umbrella and the Neanderthals were gone, leaving only Chumbak and Natara alone with each other.

When the two of them recovered from the brightness of the light and were able to look up again, the creature was gone. They were both alarmed when they saw that their fellow clan members as well were gone. Moments later they heard screaming coming from the village over the hilltop, and without hesitation the two of them ran to the top of the hillside hand in hand to look down upon the village. What they both saw just added to the disbelief of the ordeal they just went through because they knew what the outcome of the vision would produce. The entire village was enveloped by the same reddish-looking umbrella effect, that minutes earlier took their fellow group members away. Again, in a blink of an eye, the great white flash reappeared and the entire Gray Wolf clan disappeared, leaving the two of them totally alone. Although Natara was still alarmed about the events that just took place, Chumbak seemed to show little interest as to why they all disappeared. He looked at Natara and seemed content to know that he was with the one female of the clan that he knew was the best mate for him. He also knew from this point on, the two of them would be on their own.

    Chapter 2

Five Hundred Forty Seven light years away from the Dextrillion system

But Ambassador Quebcheck, our laws dictate that we must never enslave any species no matter what the obvious future outcome of the species may be. Our rules also dictate that any member of the Alliance found breaking this law is subject to suspension, and in some circumstances, expulsion from the Alliance.

Ambassador Yeupt. Quebcheck the ambassador from Plenterie replied in an arrogant manner. Plenterie has been a member of the Tri-Galaxy Alliance for over three thousand years. As you may or may not know, we helped to compose the rules and regulations which we all abide by. Obviously, since we helped to establish the laws of membership, you can be assured that we do understand each and every law. However, one of the primitive species inhabiting the third planet of the Pushnacom solar system is doomed to extinction, and our intervention will actually save it. Who knows, maybe our intervention will lead them into inhabiting a new more suitable world for themselves sometime in their future. After all, we do anticipate the capturing and enslavement of this species to be only a temporary event which should not last more than a few hundred Plenterien years.

Yes, but at what cost? Replied Yeupt. The ambassador of Forigig, a planet much like the third planet in the Pushnacom solar system, a system that actually lies inside the third galaxy, and recently provided new civilizations the opportunity to join and created the name change of the Bi-Galaxy Alliance to the Tri-Galaxy Alliance. The third planet was oxygen rich and also had an ample amount of water just like the planet Forigig. The only difference between the two planets was that Forigig had about 16 percent less gravitational force. That small difference was why the Forigig's forignoid-type inhabitants were on average almost a meter taller than the taller of the two species of the Pushnacom planet.

Yeupt stood the average Forigig height of 2.9 meters, and today's Earthlings would consider them humanoid in shape with a reptilian look. He had four long appendages on his hands, one being a thumb-like finger, and the other three looking like that of modern Earth's iguana claws since they all ended with long pointed nails. His feet on the other hand were more club like and looked similar to a horse's hoof. His skin tone, due to the color of his blood, was light green and had a smooth texture and feel to it, much like that of a snake's skin. His head was rather small and tapered off almost to a point, being almost egg shape in appearance. He had red almond-shaped eyes, with white irises and his pupils were black and elongated and looked much like a modern-day domestic cat's eye. The main difference between his and a cat's eyes, besides the coloring, was his eyes were protected by a single eyelash, that closed from the bottom up when he blinked. He heard simply through two small elongated holes located on each side of his long, thin neck.

He was dressed in the diplomatic attire commonly worn by the ambassadors of his race. A one-piece suit made from the best Forigig silk made from the buonsik worm found on only one small remote island on his home world. It had a shiny gold color and had thick black cuffs on the sleeves. The cuffs had Forigig insignia displayed for those who understood how to read it, providing information about the ambassador's time with his world's diplomatic corps. His club feet, due to their weight and rough texture, were covered in boots designed to protect the surface of the flooring he was walking on and were only worn by Forigigs in the diplomatic corps when they were off planet.

You're not actually going to use that excuse to justify your planet's action for enslaving this species of primitive beings, are you? Yeupt asked, whose home planet actually lay further away from the Tri-Galaxy Alliance's meeting hall than that of the third planet, which he believed whose primitive beings should be left alone.

Quebcheck was like every other Plenterien who walked his planet, which provided a clone-like effect similar to the way all white mice looked alike on Earth. Like our mice, Quebcheck had snow-white hair; However, unlike our mice, he was a humanoid life-form. His skin tone was snow white, and his eyes were green and quite small which gave him and all other Plenteriens' poor vision, but just like the rest of his species, what made up for his poor vision was an antenna-like organ that protrudes out of the front of his forehead just below his V-pointed hairline. It stood out approximately ten centimeters and flared out into a fork-like shape at its tip, looking like the tongue of a snake. This strange-looking organ sent out waves similar to radar, and when the waves hit an object, they bounced back to the Plenterien and were picked up by an inner ear. This ability was why Quebcheck and the rest of his species had extremely large cauliflower-like earlobes, which allowed them to capture the returning radar rays and focus them to the inner ear. This ability enabled Quebcheck to maneuver through areas of total darkness if need be.

On average, Quebcheck's race stood 1.6 meters tall. He was just a few centimeters under average, and like all humanoid species, he had two arms and two legs. His hands each had six fingers with what could only be considered multiple thumbs, one being on each side of his hands, with the rest of his middle fingers all being identical in length. His feet matched his hands very closely by having two large toes, one on each side of the foot, and like his fingers, all his middle toes were of the same size.

Much like his Forigig adversary, he too wore the customary clothing of his world's diplomatic corps, consisting of a simple sky-blue one-piece jumpsuit, completed with a matching waist-length cape and white belt. High up on his right arm was a patch that in his language provided information about who he was within his world's diplomatic corps. His attire was completed with a pair of ankle-high white square-toed boots, which were quite wide in the front in order to accommodate his six toes.

Quebcheck walked back and forth in his cell located on the central floor of the Tri-Galaxy Alliance meeting dome. The dome was built nearly 2,800 Plenterien years earlier on the small and dark ice planet Choboroe in the star system Guitlumia. The planet was chosen by the Alliance members, which numbered twenty-three worlds at the time when they decided on creating a meeting dome. Since its creation, the number had almost tripled to sixty-seven with the understanding that there would be more joining as new intelligent life-forms revealed their presence or were discovered by Alliance members. The planet Choboroe was chosen unanimously due to the absence of any life-forms living on the planet.

The dome was designed to be made out of individual cell units, each manufactured by the inhabitants of each ambassador's home world. Each cell was designed to provide their own energy source, which would supply the specific energy needed to create the atmospheric conditions along with any other environmental concerns and needs customary to their home worlds. This was agreed upon long ago by all members just in case in the event of any type of power or life support failure, which would probably lead to death of the cell's inhabitants, so no fault could be place on any other member of the Alliance.

The one common denominator that all cells possessed were two neutral docking hubs, that interconnected all cells and allowed each cell to be able to communicate, due to a universal
