The Greatest Survivors on Earth: How We Got Over
()
About this ebook
It also demonstrates the resiliency of a people who were forced to come here under the threat of whippings and beatings, and at gun point. Adaptation became their calling card as they always found a way to bounce back and survive the harshest of treatment and demands. They never fully accepted their fate and attempted over 250 escapes and revolts over the years.
Some say that they stand on the shoulders of those who came before, but I believe that now is the time for us to free them from all the burdens their shoulders have carried and stand proudly in their shadow and the magnificent image they have left for us to emulate.
They had their language stolen from them, their religion, their culture and their families and still they rose. Our ancestors loom large as examples of what can be accomplished if you never give up, and maintain your self-respect. I must warn you this will not be an easy read.

Introduction
This book is designed to give the reader explicit details on many of the horrific atrocities which black people have suffered through for centuries and still have to be on guard for despite periodic advances. There have been many of us who have risen to high positions of authority in various fields of endeavor, including the Presidency, despite overt or thinly veiled attempts to block our ascent.

The Change Begins
As the centuries slowly passed by for the Africans under European domination, their image of whites as well as their image of themselves became completely reversed. Traditionally, they would use white paint on their faces to represent the dead or white devils.
This tradition was lost largely due to the Africans acceptance of the Christian religion and the nearly total denial of all that was their history and their culture, their sense of community and the roots of their ancestors. The sources of their history which helped shape their culture and brought them continued success as a people, organized, productive and proud, was now lost, a distant memory replaced by the influence of the white devils
from the sea and their adoption of the white man’s religion.
The Portuguese realized that in most cases the people were amenable to the discovery of new ideas, religions and never seen before items of trade. They were truly interested in getting their hands on the wealth of natural resources like gold, diamonds, ivory and even copper which the continent was known to contain. They found a way to trick the Africans in many instances without even firing a shot. While other invaders found it necessary to raid villages, the smart ones used symbols of religion to befriend them and win their trust. This tactic garnered the most success and was eventually duplicated throughout the continent and paved the way for the complete domination and colonization by the Europeans.
Originally, the Islamic advance centered on conversion of the Africans to the image of the white man with his values. They were followed by the bold promises of Christianity of salvation from their paganism to the reward of inclusion. Ultimately, the victory of the whites over the blacks was triumphant. Refusing to convert resulted in total banishment and labeling as backward savages clinging to pagan practices. They were forced to adopt Muslim or Christian
