About this ebook

I’ve learned that Egypt is a symbol of all that can be described as bad, sin, the place where God is not, after all, and so I understood that all Egyptians should have the same description. But I always wanted to meet an Egyptian. But how? Easy nowadays ... And then I went out collecting all the names I know until I found a Mostafa. The idea of Arabian man I had is that one who has a thousand women around him, being served. This one though, I found alone, desolate, unhappy, sick, unemployed and above all, he was searching for true love. The following poems are dedicated to this friend, my Egyptian friend and you will realize that the idea I had was totally wrong. Did he find the true love that he was looking for? Was he found? Read them and find out… This is the real story of Sunshine from Egypt and his princess, the Fairy Passionata from an ocean of distance.

    INTRODUCTION

Read them and find out…

This is the real story of Sunshine from Egypt and his princess, the Fairy Passionata from an ocean of distance.

    1. THE SOUL PICTURE

Found him in the middle of the desert

Like a very majestic and tall tree,

Even without a miser oasis around.

    This tree is totally heart.

All trails and paths ends in it.

    It must be magic, enchantment.

He would beg for a drink,

To absorb sip by sip and kill this tormenting thirst.

He would claim for some air to breathe,

Little by little to be alive…

    What does he find?

    Fire. A devastating fire.

He would ask to see me closer,

But fire always plays and laughs and claps

    Like in a command:

My real picture is what you see inside you, deep in your heart.

_Don’t you think picture has a soul? He insists.

_Did my soul picture touch yours? I replied.

_ All I need is the air that I breathe and to love you…

_I would burn and consume you to nothing, though.

_Yes, but I would be reborn and that is what really matters.

Written by Eloise T. M. Barreira on March 10,2013, to my Egyptian friend.

    2. GARDENER OF LOVE

Imagine a world full of roses and flowers

Without a gardener, without hands of caring, without a word of attention…

    Would they survive?

Would they wish they were there just because they are roses and flowers and were meant to be beautiful?

Wouldn’t they wish to be planted in a yard or a vase?

At least they could be just the one and not many.

This gardener is not a simple one. This is the Gardener of Love.

Every day he comes full of love, full of passion, to his roses and flowers.

Roses need an extra care because they have thorns

That can hurt. Then, he comes to teach them and tame them,

So they don’t be so mean.

Flowers need a special care because they tend to be jealous,
