About this ebook
The Jlendath’n, a humanoid race, evolved on a brutal world, barely within the ‘Goldilocks’ zone and bathed in hard radiation from a fierce sun.
They had barely achieved spaceflight and were exploring their solar system when they discovered their sun was about to go nova. A desperate search finds a new home, a green and verdant world. Finally, after thousands of generations of travel locked in their metal world, with their resources almost exhausted, they came within reach of their new home.
Only to discover that over the centuries, a civilisation had risen. A race of violent people who revelled in war and destruction. A race that had come close to self-destruction many times.
Having no concept of war, they have no choice but to land. Their only advantage is they are a century ahead of this race. Adding to their dilemma, now they know there is another sentient race in the universe, if the Jlendath’n are to succeed, these people must also succeed, regardless of how violent they are. For the Jlendath’n there is no other way. So the Jlendath’n form a plan.
Settling on the world, a world so much milder than their own, they adapt, change, their young mingle and become part of the human world. However, they struggle with the way they are treated. When the Jlendath’n government decides to leave Earth and terraform Venus into a new Jlendath, many of the young refuse to go. Earth is now their home.
For humans and Jlendath’n to succeed and thrive, both peoples need to adapt and evolve. Whether they want to or not.
