About this ebook

Cowboy Gene loves his eight cows, and Cowgirl Sue loves her eight cows, and both of them like the fence that keeps their pastures--and cows--apart. But then a tornado blows through and takes the fence with it. The cows are mixed up, and Sue and Gene are in a muddle. Will they ever be able to figure out whose cows are whose?
An all-singing, all-dancing, hard-riding, and high-romancing story of a lasso-tossin' cowgirl, a tough-as-jerky cowboy, and the two herds of do-si-do-ing, polka-prancing, high-stepping heifers that bring them together.

Aw shucks - darn cute. Especially the cows - slow down and look at the expressions on their faces. Of course adults will predict the ending... but do the children?

Sixteen Cows is a very engaging story. It's rhyming texts makes it full of fun and energy. Not only is it a love story that ends happily ever after, but their is also a dilemma right before things end up turning out just fine that keeps you on your toes and curious as to how Cowboy Gene and Cowgirl Sue will figure out whose cows belong to who. Kurt Cyrus' bold and busy artwork captures the story beautifully, and really gives a great image of each event that happens throughout the story.

A humourous tale of a cowboy and a cowgirl, whose neighbourly rivalry turns to romance. Told in rhythmic rhymes, with amusing names for the cows, and funny illustrations by Kurt Cyrus. Fun for preschool to grade 1.
