I stared into his eyes, pools of so many complex things I didn’t understand. I only knew one thing. I wanted him so badly it hurt, aches between my legs. I knew it wasn’t right-I knew I was one of hundreds, but I didn’t care. I wanted him more than I had ever wanted anything in my life.

Well hello there Mr. De Luca, where have you been all my life?! I fully realize that he may come off as cocky, arrogant, and self-serving, but all those qualities are some of what attracted me to him. Cocky was really confident. Arrogant was really assured in what he had and could do. And self-serving was not being afraid to go after what he wanted. He was completely confident in these qualities and you were full aware of what you were getting into from the beginning.

“For a good girl, I assure you, I can be very bad.”

Do you want to know what I really loved about this book? I loved that while there was hesitation to the unknown, the main female character just went for it. She was confident in herself and in a genre where the female usually very insecure, it was very refreshing! I would say that she came into her sexual self in this book, but really she just unleashed what was always there. Brad brought out her best qualities and she did the same for him. Sometimes when you aren’t looking, what you need the most enters your life and knocks you flat on your tail. It was rejuvenating watching all his walls break down. Neither of them entered this book looking for love, but love found them in the most delicious way. And probably not in the way you are thinking…

“What if what we’re looking for is each other?”

Wow. I don't even know where to begin with this one. I couldn't put it down once I started. It was HOT!! That being said I loved that there was actually a storyline to go with the sexy stuff. This is the second book I have read by Ms. Torre and I am hooked! The thing I have noticed about her writing that I love so much is that it pulls you in so far that you tune everything else out.

I really liked Julia! She is beautiful and she knows it...BUT she isn't really promiscuous. She's not going out there and hooking up with random people. She just loves the thrill of the chase. She is pre law and interning at firm. That is how she meets Brad De Luca. She is warned away from him by the lawyer she is interning under. No one explains to her why she should stay away. But once she meets him it becomes clear. He oozes sex appeal. He is a top divorce lawyer. Women wait months to have him represent them in their divorce settlement. Not only because he's good in the courtroom, no because he's good in the bedroom afterwards.

Julia tries to ignore the pull she feels towards Brad, but the more she is around him the harder it becomes. He can't ignore the pull towards her either. There is just one thing standing in front of them. Brad has a certain sexual appetite. I want to say it surprised me, but it didn't. I picked up on the clues about it. But I loved Julia's reaction to it. An though it is not something for me, it was freakin hot!

If you want a steamy, sexy read that still has character and relationship build up, then this one is great!

I received this from Library Thing to read and review. This is an interested book about a young, naïve female intern who is taken advantage of by an older, self-centered male. Everyone warns Julia to stay away from bra, but she cannot resist him. They end up on one sex-filled weekend, and, when they return, try to act as if nothing has changed. However, the attraction is too strong. How will they cope now? What will they do? The book is the story of their lives once they meet. It is the story of what they end up doing, working in the same place. Normally, I would not read this sort of book, as I personally think I can do better than to read about sex, but I figured I would give this one a try, since I got it free in exchange for a review. However, I should have stuck with my original idea of passing on this one. There really was not very much story, just a tale of how one older, self-centered lawyer takes advantage of his position in a big firm. Of course, Julia is not totally devoid of blame. She has been warned about Brad, but goes ahead anyway. The story is okay, just not all that great. It is no 50 Shades, just perhaps a “wanna-be”. The author did a great job making Brad a skunk throughout the book. However, there was little or no chemistry between Julia and Brad, just the sex. I think the book could have delved bit more into the characters’ psyches, and had some chemistry, but then the author might not have achieved the goal of having all that sex. This is a good example of how things might happen today in an office. There are lots of Brads around and even some Julia’s taking advantage of their youth and inexperience. I you enjoy this sort of thin, this book will be worth your effort. If, however, you prefer a good storyline and plot, perhaps not.

I don't know what I was expecting but...well..i liked it! While I was frustrated at times with Brad, I still was interested. I wasn't necessarily sold on him but the mystery of him. The warnings to stay away, etc. And Julia responded the way I wanted her to when dealing with him. While maybe she did jump the gun so to speak at the beginning, she did speak her mind too. She pushed back. Good chemistry between them, not really a deep story but a decent one (hey - I want to know what happens to them), overall good read. Not really a cliffhanger ending but it does leave you knowing their is more to this story.Beware - F/F & M/F/M action

I have read a lot of books - A lot and I can honestly say that author Alessandra Torre really keeps me on my toes and her storys never turn out how I think they should. I love and hate the story line - I hate that the female doesn't run for the hills but love how things turn out. I really thought Julia was going to break under Brad's dominating ways but she really surprised me. Brad's view on Sex, love & relationships is not what any woman wants to believe but have more substance than anyone would care to believe. Lots and Lots of hot steamy panty wetting scenes.
Fabulous ending. There's more to come with a novella that is meant to compliment "Blindfolded Innocence" called "The Diary of Brad De Luca" available now. "Masked Innocence" is due out Feb 25th, 2014 then "End of Innocence" March 2014.
    * you can read this book and be ok with the ending - no cliffhanger!

[Warning: This review contains a minor spoiler.]A suspension of disbelief and perhaps a few personal morals go a long way in enjoying this novel. Love is absent in BLINDFOLDED INNOCENCE. Sexual vice is rampant, celebrated and fully explored. If that appeals to you, then read on.Alessandra Torre can write some hot sex! This book is packed with all sorts of scorching scenes: intense and intimate, illicit and raw, over-the-top borderline porn, flirty and fun FF and surprisingly lyrical MFM. It’s all wicked and delicious.Brad is no doubt a talented lover. He detests the label, but, I’d call him a sex addict. Brad's POV is minimal and in 3rd person. His sparse perspective contributes to the novel feeling unbalanced. Had there been more from Brad’s view point, his character might have been better developed and appealing. Instead, we read, from a distance, some pretty atrocious actions he takes without obvious remorse. (His heated dalliance with Alexis/Sarah is the most glaring example.) He’s a hard character to like, and it's even harder embrace him with Julia who is, herself, very likable.Julia is a brassy, vibrant and youthful character. She’s not your typical heroine. She has backbone and perspective. She’s steady and self aware. It becomes believable that she would allow a scoundrel, cad and carnal explorer like Brad into her arms and bed. It’s just a shame that love isn’t even a consideration. Love is discarded and removed entirely when Julia decides to try things with Brad. This story is truly an adventure of pleasure for pleasure’s sake. Nothing deeper. No affection, just sex. I was entertained and curious. I was not, much like Julia & Brad, in love with it.

Oh my. Oh my I fanned myself alot. Brad is incorrigible that is for sure. But he is also HAWT….Julia is timid at first but boy does she come out of that shell.Brad though, hubba bubba. One you first read about him you’ll be disgusted but man he breaks you down. You know he is a troubled soul reaching out but denying it. Julia breaks down his defenses, I think because she is the only one to ever reject him. He is SEXY personified. But also dangerous. Not sure how dangerous but I know he’s dangerous. Partner at a law firm and yummy to boot but also uninhibited in his ways makes for a very delicious man but complicated to say the least. Vegas my hand really wanted to smack him upside the head and say Idiot moron. He was so sweet and than presto blamo the idiot gene kicked in.Julia is strong in some ways but very scared in others. She is unsure of things but tries to show confidence outwardly. Her retorts to the almighty Brad will entertain you as will their conversations. She tries to resist but how can you? This is about two people, One who wishes to move on and obtain HEA and one who denies loneliness and wanting more until almost losing the best thing to happen to them. A sensual and sometimes hair pulling (because of Brad’s shenanigans nothing else) book that will have you wanting more.

The blurb caught my attention not only because it promised an older hero than I’m used to reading about, but said hero also sounded like the consummate bad boy. It also promised a confident and independent heroine, and I am a sucker for those. I was almost halfway through the book when the thought entered my mind that I had been misled. Horribly.

For her debut novel, author Alessandra Torre not only penned/typed a story sure to capture the attention of FSoG fans suffering from withdrawl, but she has also boldly touched on a few things that could potentially put some readers off. Be aware that this story isn’t anything like FSoG. There are no BDSM elements, nor did I detect anything that can be deemed a romance either. This is straight up erotica.

Julia is a twenty-one year old college student who has just dumped her fiance of two years and is about to begin her full-time unpaid internship at Clarke, De Luca & Broward, a prestigious law firm. She’s assigned to Kent Broward who is known to work his interns to death. Long days and sometimes long nights are his norm. On her first day, he warns her to stay away from one particular partner, Brad De Luca. He works hard and plays hard, and is known for sleeping with his interns which is why the firm no longer lets him have female interns. The good girl does as she’s told until she shows up on Brad’s radar. From then on he’s determined to get her into his bed.

Brad De Luca is a highly sought after divorce attorney, not just for his services inside a court room but apparently in the bedrooms of numerous clients and interns as well. The blurb kindly describes him as a playboy, but a man who confesses to having slept with 150-180 women is more than just a playboy. He always gets what he wants and at the moment he wants Julia. Getting her to change her mind about having sex with love or commitment isn’t going to be easy, but he’s not easily deterred. The perfect opportunity arises when he demands she accompany him to Vegas for the weekend. Away from work and prying eyes he’ll be able to work his magic on her. The weekend will change them both in unexpected ways.

Julia was very one dimensional. She lacked depth that I often found myself wondering if she was a robot. Sadly, I think making her so young just proved how out of her league she was in comparison to the overwhelming and worldly presence of Brad. The blurb called her confident and independent. First of all she lives in a crappy college student apartment with a hippie roommate. She’s a student and has just started a full time position leaving no time for a side job, and she was tight on money. How did she support herself? Then she enters into a sexual relationship with her boss only to later bemoans the fact that if anyone at the office caught wind of that, she could lose her internship and her future prospects would go down the drain.

I found there were a lot of inconsistencies with Julia’s character, and much later on with Brad’s. Julia’s first love dumped her for a younger bimbo, and she dumped her fiance of two years right before her internship. She refuses to have sex without love and commitment, but she contradicts herself in a few chapters:

    Chapter 12

Julia: Yes. I don’t believe in sex without commitment and love.

Brad: You make love, not fuck.

Julia: No, I fuck. I just do it more for the control aspect rather than the physical.

    Chapter 13

Julia: I don’t have sex with people I’m not in love with.

    Chapter 19

Julia to Brad: What you do is fuck. And I’m not used to that, or don’t know if I feel okay about that–not for religious reasons, just for my own.

Julia is robotic, and she’s a character who doesn’t know what she wants. It looks like her decisions change to suit the story. Brad was just a jerk for the majority of the story.

The trip to Vegas was a huge disappointment. A totally unexpected and frankly unnecessary POV popped up. Not only does Brad do something totally true to character, but Julia’s reactions are just too confusing. The “club tour” nearly put me to sleep, mainly because I already knew what was going on behind the scenes. Brad left her side at the club, so she’s drunk with her stripper guide and they’re doing body shots, she’s half naked and engaged in some F/F action in front of the other patrons.

The ending felt rushed in an effort to throw in the last few surprises and reveal Brad’s secret kink, which really wasn’t much of one (Chapter 7). I felt no emotions from those two other than lust and curiosity. If anything about Julia was attractive to Brad, it was probably her naivete and the fact that she’s still unspoiled.

I finished the story though I was tempted to stop after Vegas, but the sex wasn’t all that bad, and I wanted to see if the characters would develop more before the end. They didn’t. Instead they just confounded me even more. I don’t mind a hot and edgy story that’s a little different, but it has to make sense and flow smoothly. I wasted so much time flipping back and forth to see if some things they said or did added up or not. Nice effort on the plot, but the execution could have been better.

A very extensive review with spoilers can be found on my blog.
