INTRODUCTION
The opening chapter of the book introduces the author’s position on corruption, it create an image of the menace in the mind of readers. It also state the stiff stance of the author on economic malfeasance in society and why it is necessary for citizen to protect and maintain standards. He uses imagery to describe Sierra Leone and gave insight on her beauty before she was raped, abuse and kidnapped by the shackles of corruptions.
In chapter two the author briskly touched on the benefit of Indian hem and attempted to make a case for it to be legalized as it will positively impact the economy of the country backed with the numerous medical benefits.
Reminiscing on the adverse effect of colonialism, the writer ushered in chapter three. It gives flashback on how Africans were treated by the colonialist. The chapter dived into how slaves were brutalized at the periled of the nation.
The green vegetation of the land is aptly explained in chapter four to showcase the friendly climate of the country. It brought to the fore how natural and tasty fruits from the Sierra Leone can be and the need for tourist to visit. Sierra Leone is known for her wonderful ecosystem and natural reserve and the writer adequately hammer that home. Apart from that the rich tradition of the country is projected in the chapter with the sound of instruments and beautiful dances.
Before colonialism the unique governance structure of the inhabitants was admired by all, in chapter 5 the author presented a clear picture of how it was setup and the enormous powers of the rulers. Also the writer gave the nexus between traditionalist and that of the colonial masters.
Chapter 6 &7 are continuation from the previous chapters where the colonial masters paid courtesy call to penetrate to convince them with delusion to the paramount chief and appreciate the exquisite leadership structure of the native. However the chapter gave in-depth information on the strategic meeting, where the local chief agreed to sell their sister and brothers and turn them as slaves. They also knew it was not going to be an easy that task in that the expected resistance.
In Chapter 8 the author explained on the development made so far by the colonialist to erode the rich culture that has existed before; he stressed on the damages caused by the intruders. In a bid to encourage the natives he preached on retributive justice. The chapter clearly peached the concept of revenge.
The act of rebellion and fight for freedom has always been the strength of African and the closing Chapter of the book exposed the clandestine motive of the colonialist to rip the natives apart and put a wedge amongst them as they cleverly torn them apart. It was in this chapter the naïve exhibited their unionism and fight for liberation.
This book give readers an in-depth knowledge on the vices that had affected the country rich culture and projected the ills of colonialism. The use of symbols and other figurative expression by the author will surely create an imagery that will keep reader glued to this work.
The author Mr James Taiwo Cullen despite his disability as a visually impaired he navigated beyond imagination to actualize his dream.
CHAPTER ONE
I was born donkey years ago from a grass root family, who cannot read or write but possess natural native intelligence to protect and guide our family’s dignity blessed with natural resources at a time when Corruption, inflation, coup, religion, deforestation, rape and sexual harassment all were not known.
If you take a look at me, you can judge for yourself with all the ingredient I possess moreover my personal property hidden between my legs as a natural woman. I protected my family’s dignity and welfare, as a true virgin indeed, I’m a virgin, my body is fresh and my Character is healthy to protect my integrity and free from deforestation, tribalism, nepotism and disunity with a provocative hips to match my nyatondo[buttocks] to captivate a true business developer. My breast has all the nutrients to feed and sustain my future children with succulent nipples for the potential business developer to utilize and improve on their propose investment on me.
The vegetation in my body help to protect me to maintain my, figure, I’m not bragging if whether my face is black and beautiful as far as I’m concern, I possess the quality of a natural woman, any shades of men would love to invest on.
I am not a joker when it’s time for me to feed on my food, photosynthesis. My father taught me that whenever there is a provision from God’s given food, photosynthesis, I should make good use of it. He admonish me strongly not to be-friend with deforestation, exploration, mining for these elements will disfigure my beauty and I will lost my dignity to national and international developers, I should embraced agriculture with both hands – for it will promote peace, good health and it will also serve as a barometer to regulate Planet earth.
I have no man made roof over my head were one could relax to wine and dine only one given to the world by my creator who created heaven and earth, the moon, stars and the sun provided me with food for my wellbeing.
I’m not question my height, I should give thanks to my creator for my creation, and my head is big and bushy with green color hair. With my height I can feed my eyes with curiosity on all direction beyond my environments and across the Atlantic Ocean.
