    The City of Mercury and Stories From Another World is a set of four short stories featuring science fiction, odd fantasy, comedy and action all in the eyes of African Americans. It explores the drastic conditions on parallel earths.

    The City of Mercury is a famous and prestigious city of trade and commerce, with the occasional visit from celebrities and the rich. It's also the newest playground to the Defeater, a revolutionary and vigilante that seeks out injustice and corruption. In "The City of Mercury" The Defeater must seek out the forces of corruption and destroy them, even if it costs him his life.

    In "Ego for Credit" Isaiah "Ice" Hannibal is one of the top lieutenants to The Hannibals, one of the toughest socials in Santiago City, but after a humiliating defeat by the hands of a stranger, he must contemplate his future and what it truly means to make your mark in the world.

    In "The Scarlett Altar" Duncan Anantha is one of the most powerful superhumans on the planet, making him target to dangerous foes. But when he wakes to find himself on an altar and surrounded by candles, he has to wonder when his next outburst of power will be before he misses the bathroom—or gets sacrificed by a demon.

    Dorron and Audes have been friends for their whole lives, but when the chance to fund his aunt’s life changing surgery arises, Dorron must make a drastic sacrifice. In "The Scarlett Stream" Audes must decide on friendship, notoriety, or his fate by the hands of psychotic criminals.
