About this ebook

TIME AND LOSS RENDERED by Susanna Cole is a five story, flash fiction collection of revenge, perseverance, and second chances.

In "Drumroll" a young teleporter confronts her old mentor in search of the only thing that might keep her nightmares at bay: vengeance.

When a witch and her unruly fledglings move into the cabin on the edge of the forest Brenn, a grumpy dragon with a hatred for magic is prepared to do what she must to make them leave. "The Witch's Children" however, quite like her leathery wings.

A motel owner's day turns upside-down with the return of a son she hasn't seen in over a decade. "Continuance" explores trauma and the adage "time heals all wounds."

In "Snow Trout" Kaameh, a young Afghan refugee in New York City, struggles against language and cultural divides to secure her family's weekly food supply. Based on a true account, this gripping tale offers a real-life look into the trials that resettling refugees face.

Thirty years after avenging her brother's death Juno, a teleporting alcoholic with one final chance to salvage her career, awakens in a dark cave with a ticking clock and a single mission: save a young boy from certain death. The problem? The boy isn't quite what he seems. "Child of the Mole People" delivers a punchy continuation to "Drumroll".

She shredded herself apart in her battered studio apartment late Friday evening. Vanishing, only to be reborn—reconstructed—in the foyer of a South Kensington mansion.

Long-sleeved black coveralls and a tattered Vikings cap were last to manifest as Juno swallowed back the fresh blood flooding her mouth. This was no place to bleed.

Stained sneakers sunk into plush, ivory carpet that extended past a foyer large enough to fit Juno’s entire apartment and she tamped down on the fear running up her spine like a
