01: Attack on the Base! A Rose in the Desert

A female’s hand turned the knob on the faucet and the sprinkler sprayed hot water. *Splashhhhhhhh* She stepped into the shower and let the hot water run from her head down to her shoulders and the rest of her body. She put her hands against the wall and leaned forward. From the side view, her hair covered her eyes since her head was facing down. But the rest of her face can be seen, and she was revealed to be Faith. Within seconds steam appeared and filled up the shower.

Near earth’s orbit, there was a Galactic Police station floating. Suddenly, two enemy mobile suits came from the earth’s atmosphere near the station. They were decorated in shades of brown and gray. They were units D-03 and D-04.

An operator saw the signal on the screen. We have two unidentified mobile suits approaching us! he shouted.

They are unfriendly units. said another operator.

The entire station became on red alert. A soldier ran to the hangar, the area where mobile suits were parked. He opened the metal door and ran to his mobile suit, but before he could get inside, there was an explosion.

*Kaboom* Both the mobile suits and the hangar were destroyed.

Everyone in the control room could feel the impact and the entire room flashed red for a second. What happened? asked the station’s commander.

Hanger one was destroyed! said the operator.

Faith was still in the shower when the entire room shook, causing her to stumble and she put her palms against the wall. What was that? She turned off the water and left the shower chamber and put on a pink towel.

The computer screen turned on and Angela’s face appeared. Faith! Your station’s commander just told me you guys are under attack!

What? Right now? How many units?

Just two! Get in your mobile suit right away! The station is in grave danger; get out of there as soon as possible!

You got it! Suddenly, the room shook again and the lights flashed for a brief second.

So just like that, Faith ran out of her room and down the hallway towards the second hangar. Because of the urgency, she forgot about her state of undress and hurried to get into her mobile suit.

Just outside the space station, unit D-04’s bazooka was smoking as it just fired a missile at the hangar. The pilot was a Middle Eastern man, wearing a turban with a full beard. Hahahaha. Take that you stupid Galactic Police dogs!

Then his unit switched to a machine gun and flew above. He noticed another door that was about to open. D-04’s machine gun fired. When the door opened, a mobile suit was revealed, this one plastered in blue and gray colors. This unit was designated as Unit Galactic Police 01, or GP-01. It fired its machine guns, hitting D-04, destroying it. The pilot inside screamed in agony as his unit exploded.

The pilot of Unit GP-01 was none other than Faith. She was still wearing a towel in the cockpit.

The pilot inside unit D-03 was also a Middle Eastern man. He just detected that his comrade was killed and became shocked, scared and worried. The GP-01, Faith’s mobile suit flew towards him and fired bullets.

Without an ally to back him up, D-03’s pilot flew his mobile suit towards the earth.

You’re not getting away! yelled Faith. Her mobile suit flew after D-03.

The two mobile suits entered earth’s atmosphere and burned up. *Froom* Once the D-03 was in GP-01’s firing range, it fired. The D-03 was hit in the back and it started to free fall to the ground. It landed in the desert and exploded.

Faith wiped her forehead. Target destroyed. She took a sigh of relief but it was too early to be relaxed. Her screen beeped urgently as it detected two mobile suits approaching.

They were units D-01 and D-02, in the same color scheme as the other two. They fired at her unit and she flew away. But there were too many bullet streams and they hit the GP-01’s leg. *Bam* She felt the shudder and groaned.

Angela’s face appeared on the computer screen. Faith? Where are you?

I’m on earth and two unfriendly units are hot on my tail!

The two enemy units continued to fire and a bullet hit the GP-01’s back. The entire mobile suit shuddered, causing her to groan.

The Mobile Suit

The mobile suit GP-01 landed on the desert. My engines are destroyed and I can’t fly! Faith shouted into the speaker.

Stay put! We’re sending rescue units now. said Angela’s voice from the speaker.

Suddenly, the two native desert units appeared on the screen and they opened fire on her mobile suit. Most of their bullets missed but some hit the GP-01’s foot, causing the mobile suit to shudder. Ugh! Faith groaned. I’m not going to die here. She pulled the levers all the way to the right,
