Mr. Shaw worked at the University of North Dakota (UND) Immigration Law Clinic, where he practised extensive immigration law as a Student Attorney. At the UND Immigration Law Clinic, Mr. Shaw advocated heavily for his clients regarding asylum cases, employment/work authorizations, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), Immigration Visas, Immigration Green Cards and other clients specific Immigration legal matters. Mr. Shaw has also successfully provided guidance and legal advice on the laws of Marriage-Based Green Cards, Fiancé Visas (K-1), Naturalization/Citizenship, Adjustment of Status (AOS) and Family-Based Immigration Petitions, particularly for Immediate Relatives.
After law school, Mr. Shaw worked at a premier Hollywood, top-ranking boutique and SAG-AFTRA Franchised entertainment Talent Agency firm. There, Mr. Shaw was exposed to the intrinsic value of the entertainment business and the immigration side of it. Mr Shaw was exposed to Individuals with Extraordinary Ability or Achievements (O-1 Visas), Business/Tourist Visas (B-1 & B-2 Visas), Immigration Student Visas (F-1 Visas), Optional Practical Training Benefits (OPT), Work Authorization, Advance Parole (Travel Permission), Green Cards and plenty more, all pertaining to the entertainers within and outside of the talent agency firm. Mr. Shaw is proud to succeed in assisting several clients within and outside of the talent agency, acquiring their O-1 visas and renewals of the O-1 visa, OPTs, work authorization, Business/Tourist visas and Green Cards. Mr. Shaw continues to maintain strong relationships in the entertainment industry and advises Talent Agents and others as it pertains to Immigration law.

He received his B.A. degree from the University of California of Riverside and his law degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law. He is also admitted and part of the country’s largest and most prestigious Immigration Lawyers Association (American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). This enables Mr. Shaw to deliver higher quality Immigration legal services throughout the country.
Mr. Shaw also provides his clients with an additional service for those interested in investing or purchasing real estate and/or acquiring a residential mortgage in the state of California. He understands that clients can shy away from lucrative real estate opportunities, particularly with their pending or completed immigration matters. He also focuses acutely on government agencies’ actions and keeps up to date on the latest policies, rule changes, and changes in the law such as: the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS); The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS); U.S Immigration and Customs (ICE); U.S Customs and Border Protection (CBP); Department of Labor (DOL); and Department of Justice (DOJ). Mr Shaw and his team ensure to work with clients to ensure that government forms are completed correctly so that his clients’ cases are processed quickly and efficiently. Mr. Shaw enjoys hiking, playing outdoor sports, and riding his motorcycle. He is mixed with Indonesian and is deeply ingrained in his Indonesian culture. He also speaks Bahasa Indonesia.
