Wherever, Whenever, However - Molly Shepard
Day One
The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely, your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalm 23
Remember, even through the struggle, the Lord is our shepherd and will never let us go. He gives us rest, comfort, protection, and peace. I find it awe-striking that God gave us a bridge to Heaven just because He loves us. Jesus died for us just because He loves us. No worry is ever needed in the presence of God for He has given us life and renewed us.
At the end of Psalm 23, David writes, Surely, your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.
God loves us so richly that He will pursue us even when we are failing and are in the midst of our sin. Because He loves us with such an immense love, He sent His only Son to die for us so that we can live in His house (Heaven) forever.
It is astonishing to realize that our Father in Heaven is willing to (and does) love us this much. Though the devil tries his hardest to take control and divide us from the Lord, God still protects us and yearns for us to walk closer to where He is. He listens to us and helps us, even when we are in our darkest
