Bible Made Simple:Just for You
()
About this ebook
Bible Made Simple: just for you is not only a book but a journey of discovery of ones own existence. This
journey begins with asking this question? Where did the Bible come from? What is its origin? I would
assume that everyone whose heard of the Bible connects this book with God. If the knowing that the
Bible is associated with God then this poses another question; Who is God? Where Did God come from?
What was God’s purpose for the Bible? What about the Big Bang Theory and its claim to forming of the
world. What about the devil and angels? Do they really exist? What about Archaeology and History? Do
either of them provide evidence to the authenticity of what is written in the Holy Bible? The purpose of
my book is to answer all these questions and many more questions concerning the most important book
ever written.
Charles Yates
My name is Charles Yates. I was born and raised in Detroit, Mi. As a youth growing up in the 70’s I would attend church with my grandmother whenever I visited her and when I would stay with her from time to time. I would get bored during many of the church services because they would go to one book and chapter of the bible and then bounce around to a different book. As I grew and experienced different problems that exist in our world, I began to think there has more to life. I later began attending church as an adult and got more understanding about the bible and my Lord Jesus the Christ. I received salvation and became a born again Christian. I later became a Sunday school teacher. I later recalled my younger years when I would wonder why they would not teach the bible in chronological order. Sunday school is the best place for a Christian to learn and grow but I also feel there is a void that needs to be filled for those out there wanting to learn the bible in this format as well.

This book is dedicated to my wife, Marlene, her every prayer for me I truly appreciate and have greatly benefited from far more than words can describe.
BIOGRAPHY
My name is Charles Yates. I recently attended New Mount of Olives church. I served as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher. As a kid whenever I would attend church I would always get frustrated as to why they would not teach or preach the bible in order from the book. My thought was start at Genesis and work your way through to Revelation. I did not understand that every book complemented each other and all together shared a common thread which was the revelation of Jesus the Christ.
Introduction-What is this book about?
In the world we live in today our youth are getting farther and farther away from the truths we learned about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. In today’s society same-sex marriage is looked at as a civil rights act like racial prejudices. Everyone’s specific skin color is something they are born with and cannot change, nor should they want to. The same is true with our gender. If God created you to be black, white, Asian for example then that is what you are. The same is true if you were born a male or female. God has a lot to say about these topics and more. The purpose of this book is to introduce the bible to those rather a believer or unbeliever who find it difficult to understand. I would like to clarify that the true teacher of the bible is the Holy Spirit. I trusted him to guide me through every process of this book. This book is designed to inspire readers to read the bible for themselves. I do not profess to be the most knowledgeable Sunday school teacher, nor do I claim to be a Deacon of deacons. I do however have a burning desire to learn the word of God as it is written in the bible. I also feel that there are many of those out there who would love receive a step by step approach to understanding the bible in a way that would inspire them as it has for me. MY ULTIMATE GOAL FOR THIS BOOK IS FOR UNBELIEVERS TO RECEIVE THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST AND BECOME BORN AGAIN BELIEVER’S.
Acknowledgments
First I would like to thank God for blessing me with this opportunity and platform to spread the gospel of Christ to each soul that comes into contact with this book. This book would not be possible without the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit who I submitted to and allowed to speak through me throughout this process.
With special thanks:
To my faithful praying wife (Marlene) who actually encouraged me to write this book. I never would have considered writing this without her encouragement or daily support. My Shepherds past and present: Pastor Hayes, Pastor Knox, Apostle Coleman, Bishop Butler, Pastor Pearson, Bishop Copeland, Apostle Jackson, and Pastor Pelt. I would like to thank each and every one of you for each sermon and teaching I received from you that led me to this point in my spiritual journey. TO: my co-workers Dwayne, Tamika, Lenward, Myron, and Regina who I first had a conversation with about creating something for people to learn the bible.

Chapter 1-The Bible & Its Origin
Have you ever wondered what the word bible means? Answer: The word bible comes from the Greek word biblia.
When this Greek word biblia
is translated into the English language it means books.
The King James Bible consist of 66 books broken down into 2 sections: the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament contains 39 books and the New Testament contains the remaining 27 books. So the bible in reality is a Book of books.
Note: I will discuss Testaments/Covenants in chapter 4. The Old Testament bible consists of 39 books telling the stories of God’s people the Jews or Jewish nation whom he chose to be the models for the world to follow or lead to becoming God’s people as well. Although the bible contains 66 books in total, I will only be covering the Old Testament in this book. I will be quoting bible passages from the Old Testament as well as the New Testament. Are there any forms of proof of the authenticity of the bible? Answer: Yes, History and Archaeology History in the Bible. I will give examples of notable historical figures in history who were named or played a vital role in the bible. Julius Caesar, Herod the Great, Cyrus the Great, and Nero. Gaius Julius Caesar (Latin: [ˈɡaːiʊs ˈjuːliʊs ˈkae̯sar]; 12 July 100 BC – 15 March 44 BC) was a Roman general and statesman. A member of the First Triumvirate, Caesar led the Roman armies in the Gallic Wars before defeating his political rival Pompey in a civil war, and subsequently became dictator of Rome from 49 BC until his assassination in 44 BC. He played a critical role in the events that led to the demise of the Roman Republic and the rise of the Roman Empire. Julius Caesar.
How does he relate to history being found in the bible? Answer: Through a man named Herod Antipas (the Antipater) and his son Herod the Great. Herod the Great was born in 73 BCE and died in 4 BCE Note: BCE means Before the Common Era or before year 1. Herod's rise to power is largely due to his father's good standing relation with Julius Caesar, who entrusted Herod the Antipater (Herod the Great’s father) with the public affairs of Judea. Herod, Antipater's son, (Herod the Great) was appointed provincial governor of Galilee in ca. 47 BCE when Herod was about either 25 or 28 years old. Herod was appointed as general over Samaria, greatly expanding his realm of influence. As we read from above Herod the Great was a real man not a fictional character. Is Herod the Great found in the bible? Answer: Yes Herod appears in the Gospel of Matthew, Matthew is one of the books listed in the New Testament. Note: I provided a list of all 66 book in chapter 6 titled Books of the Bible.
Herod appears in the book Matthew which is described as an event known as the Massacre of the Innocents. According to Matthew’s account (Matthew 2:1-7), after the birth of Jesus, some magi from the East visited Herod to inquire the whereabouts of the one having been born king of the Jews
, because they had seen his star in the east and therefore wanted to pay him homage. Herod, as King of the Jews, was alarmed at the prospect of a usurper (a person who takes over the position of another). Herod assembled the chief priests and scribes of the people and asked them where the Anointed One
(the Messiah, Greek: Christos the Christ) was to be born. They answered, in Bethlehem, citing Micah 5:2 from the Old Testament. Herod therefore sent the magi to Bethlehem, instructing them to search for the child and, after they had found him, to report to me, so that I too may go and worship him
. However, after they had found Jesus, they were warned in a dream not to report back to Herod.
Similarly, Joseph was warned in a dream that Herod intended to kill Jesus, so he and his family fled to Egypt. When Herod realized he had been outwitted, he gave orders to kill all boys of the age of two and under in Bethlehem and its vicinity. Joseph and his family stayed in Egypt until Herod's death, then moved to Nazareth in Galilee to avoid living under Herod's son Archelaus. Herod died in Jericho around 4 BCE. Cyrus the Great was born in 600 BCE. and died in 530 BCE. Cyrus II of Persia: commonly known as Cyrus the Great, and also called Cyrus the Elder by the Greeks, was the founder of the Achaemenid Empire, the first Persian Empire. Cyrus the Great respected the customs and religions of the lands he conquered. This became a very successful model for centralized administration and establishing a government working to the advantage and profit of its subjects. According to Isaiah 45:1 of the Hebrew Bible, God anointed Cyrus for this task, even referring to him as a messiah (lit. 'anointed one') and he is the only non-Jewish figure in the Bible to be called so. His treatment of the Jews during their exile in Babylon after Nebuchadnezzar II destroyed Jerusalem is reported in the Bible.
The Jewish Bible's Ketuvim ends in Second Chronicles with the decree of Cyrus, which returned the exiles to the Promised Land from Babylon along with a commission to rebuild the temple. Nero: Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus; born Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus; 15 December 37 9 June 68 AD) was Roman emperor from 54 to 68, the last ruler of the Julio-Claudian dynasty. Martyrdoms of Peter and Paul Bishop Eusebius of Caesarea (c. 275–339) was the first to write explicitly that Paul was beheaded in Rome during the reign of Nero. He states that Nero's persecution led to Peter and Paul's deaths, but that Nero did not give any specific orders. Archaeology in the Bible What is Archaeology? Archaeology is a science that examines the ancient world by recovering and evaluating the remains that are left behind. Biblical Archaeology The Bible is the only document ever written that is completely accurate. Every archaeological discovery that describes people, places, or events mentioned in the Bible has pointed to the accuracy of the biblical record. In fact many archaeologists have become believers in the Bible because of its accuracy. I gave historical evidence of Cyrus the Great earlier in this book, but there are Archaelogical evidence of an artifact belonging to Cyrus below: The Cyrus Cylinder is an ancient clay cylinder, now broken into several pieces, on which is written a declaration in Akkadian cuneiform script in the name of Persia's Achaemenid King Cyrus the Great. It dates from the 6th century BC and was discovered in the ruins of Babylon in Mesopotamia (modern Iraq) in 1879. It is currently in the possession of the British Museum, which sponsored the expedition that discovered the cylinder. It was created and used as a foundation deposit following the Babylon of in 539 BC, when the Neo-Babylon Empire was invaded by Cyrus and incorporated into his Persian Empire. Writing: Akkadian cuneiform script Discovered: Babylon, Mesopotamia by Hormuzd Rassam in March 1879 Present location: Room 52, British Museum, London. What about Joshua leading the Israelites in conquering the land of Jericho? In the final chapter of this book I briefly discuss who Joshua was and the role he played in leading the israelites to the promised land of canaan. He was the leader who succeeded Moses. The question is: Did Joshua lead the Jewish nation known as the Israelites through the land of Jericho? If the Bible is historically accurate when it describes the Israelite conquest of Canaan, we should expect to find some archaeological evidence to support this significant event. The question is,
What kind of evidence should we expect to find?" Three cities are specifically described in the book of Joshua as being destroyed and burned: Jericho (Joshua 6:24), Ai (Joshua 8:28), and Hazor (Joshua 11:11).
Indeed, we do find archaeological evidence of destruction by fire at Jericho, Ai, and Hazor around 1400 BC, exactly as the Bible describes. In Joshua 6, we read a description of the fall of Jericho, which provides several more clues about its demise. In the times we are living in technology gives us access to seeing video’s as well as reading about events. Below is a link for more evidence as it relates to Archaelogy and the bible. In your spare time I would encourage you to get on the internet and type in: The top ten Archaelogy discoveries that authenticate the bible. If you have an original bible, I’m not talking about the New International version, I am talking about the original KJV version. What is written on the front cover of the Holy Bible? Answer: King James So if King James name is printed on the front cover of the bible Does this make King James the author of the bible? Answer: No. The next obvious question would then be: Why is King James name
